Showaddywaddy: Rock N' Roll Music

At last a dvd showing my all time favourite group. Good clean family music which I have shown to my kids and they actually love it!I agree with the first review in that it would be much better if the footage was British as we were more 'into' Showaddywaddy and you do not get the experience of a live gig but hey, it's better than nothing!I have waited a long time for this and the 'Hey England' track is brilliant, such a shame it wasn't released as it would have been a mega hit. Worth every penny and the quality is excellent.

Its taken ages for me to finally get this dvd as its always out of stock! but the performances and interview on the dvd are outstanding and great value for money. Just need the greatest hits to come back into stock now!

Honestly, I wasn't buying this for myself. However, given the impression that it was a new DVD, I found the quality very poor.It would seem that it is a compilation of German and Dutch Versions of "Top of the Pops" recorded on some body's mobile phone even though mobile phones didn't exist at that time. The images jump; the sound is blurred and volume inconsistent. So much for the music clips.The interviews however, recounting the history of the group are very interesting and enlightening,although these also jump which I found very annoying rather than enjoyable.For somebody who's a real fan, it will be very frustrating.You might as well have asked your grandma to have knitted the DVD, remembering that she might have dropped a few stitches!!!!!

IT IS A VERY GOOD DVD HALF HOUR MUSIC AND A BOUT 1 HOUR INTERVUE

It is a shame that the original videos of showaddywaddy tracks that are on this DVD are not present but taken from a german TV show (where they are still very popular). The originals were on VHS years ago and have never migrated to DVD but it is fantastic to see the boys entertaining `live` on a DVD as unless you go to see them (yes they still tour non-stop)perform live there will be few TV opportunities unless their brand new DVD and album (currently being recorded in Memphis)is advertised and puts them back in the spotlight!This DVD has a fantastic interview with original members lead singer Dave Bartram as well as ace Drummer Romeo challenger and makes for a very interesting and humurous additional hours entertainment on top of the video tracks! - all in all it is a great value DVD and worth every penny which cannot be said for some of todays so called artists! GO BUY!!

At last a dvd of my favourite group of all time and it's a great dvd it's a shame there's no British footage but at least we get to hear the band live and that's what this group is all about the live side of things. So anyone who remembers this colourful group get this dvd and reminisce those good old rock n roll days. The interview's worth watching as well as it lasts over an hour and gives a great insight into the group and a few funny tales as well.

Cherry Red are to be commended for releasing Showaddywaddy's first ever DVD, not to mention the bonus of a lengthy career spanning interview with Dave Bartram, Romeo Challenger and Danny Willson.However, the rating loses one mark for me for the poor picture quality. I've got bootlegs of the same performances with crisper pictures.However don't let this stop you from buying the DVD - it's great.Since this came out however, two further and much better Showaddywaddy DVDs have been released by Voiceprint.

Schöne Erinnerungen. Besonders gut die alten Aufnahmen aus dem Musikladen. Vermisst habe ich die Aufnahmen von Top of the Pops und das man sich nicht die Mühe gemacht hat, das lange ausgiebige Interview am Ende der DVD zu synchronisieren.

Eine Band, die es schon seit 1973 gibt und die bis heute erfolgreich durch Großbritannien tourt. Hin und wieder können deutsche Zuschauer Showaddywaddy bei einer Oldie-Nacht erleben. Doch hier kann diese vorzügliche Rock'n'Roll-Band ihr Potential nicht ausspielen. Erst im Konzert mit Showaddywaddy als Haupt-Act läuft die Band zur vollen Form auf. Eine Live-Band vom Feinsten.
