I almost gave this case two stars, because the lock is, effectively "child proof", if not "adult proof", and one could break a nail, in trying to pry it open. However I realized that the latch/lock design would probably be difficult, if not impossible, to get perfect - given the limitations of injection molding, and, if it was perfect when you received it, it would probably become too loose, with "wear and tear". As such, after playing around with it, for a few minutes, I learned that the BEST way to open the latch/lock is by squeezing the case - in width - positioning your thumb under the entire latch/hinge and your index and middle fingers on the opposite side of the case, and then squeezing, until the latch pops open, without your touching the latch. This was probably by accident, and fortuitous for the manufacturer, and, as such, it should come with these instructions - to prevent bad reviews and frustrated purchasers, who would try to open the latch the conventional way - by prying it, and get frustrated by how difficult that is to do.

Had to throw away the toothbrushes. Not good. The cases are nice, but hard to keep closed over time. overall nice, especially for the price.

Hard to open and close. Not all toothbrushes will fit in. Poor design.

Fits all toothbrush to my knowledge & it gets the job done
