This watch has a swiss automatic movement - does it have to get wound up to continue operating and if so how long does it last? How do you wind it?

It winds up by movement, once you put it on, it just winds itself up....When you take it out of the box or from drawer, you just turn the time/date knob 3-4 times and you are all set.
