This product is a great idea and I really wanted it to work. The problem is that I've tried two different items and had the same problem with both: the holders do not lay flush. The first one I received had a big lump on one of the magnets so it wouldn't lay flat. I requested a replacement and it looked warped so the bracket would rock back and forth.I'm not asking for much, I just want the holders to lay flat so they will mount securely. I suppose I could buy 9 or 10 in the hopes that by playing the odds I could make one good set, but I decided it wasn't worth the trouble.I wish it had worked out because it's a cool idea.

This worked better than expected. Towel holders tend to be either over engineered garbage, or under engineered garbage, or they work but fall apart.So what you get with this is two pieces, both which have a padded magnetic base and then a sort of "knob" for going in one end of the towel tube. They attach to metal surfaces REALLY well, and the pad lets you slide them around without scratching. Putting a roll on is as simple as pulling on one of the brackets to slide it apart, fit the tube on and push the bracket back in. Can't be simpler without losing the ability to accommodate all lengths of whatever.I found the brackets also serve very well as magnetic hooks for hanging tools or cords or whatever to my tool-chest. They're plenty strong enough to handle my small cordless drill on a tether, and hold 25' electrical cords easily.Only downside I've found is that the depth of the knobs (distance from the magnetic surface to the knob part) is fixed, and any roll thicker than a regular paper-towel roll just won't work. That hasn't been a problem for me so far, as standard paper towel rolls and those blue shop-towel rolls have all worked for me. I even used these to hold wrapping paper tubes this Xmas. If you try to put something big on it, though, like one of those restroom paper-towel barrels, it ain't happening.

My family and I rent a small apartment with very little counter space. With a toddler running around, our paper towels were often strewn across the kitchen floor and wasted! This was a great solution. It's got a bit of an industrial feel since the screws are visible on the sides and it smelled like a garage when I pulled it out of the box, but the magnets are pretty strong and it solved our problem without using up counter space! I have had it come off the fridge on a couple of occasions when I yanked too hard or carelessly, but most of the time it's really not a problem. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Just what I wanted!! I've suffered for two years with a standing holder that kept falling over when I tried to tear off a sheet. Being a klutz, I didn't want to get one with a heavier base, as it would likely have fallen on my foot. I live in an apartment that has walls that are impossible to drill holes in, and I didn't think I could do a good job of fastening an under-cabinet holder. I tried 3M Velcro strips but they didn't hold for long. I finally considered a magnetic holder, but didn't want the ordinary magnetic holders since I was sure they wouldn't stay on my fridge. This is terrific! I was surprised it came in two parts, but wow, does it hold! I can tug on the roll and it won't come off, but it's easy to get them off when it's time to put a new roll on.

You're going to want to rip at that paper towel and know that the roll is going to stay in place so you can clean up the mess. Love it on the side of my fridge! It stays put when pulling off sheets. We use The big roll select a size paper towels. A new roll fits snuggly but will still unwind without issue. After a couple of sheets have been removed it spins more freely. Very pleased with this purchase!

This is so simple to use, the ends are independent of each other and you set them even with your paper towels in the middle. The magnets are SSSOOOOOO strong. After I put them on the door, I have to use two hands to pull it off again! So you can't complain about sticking power, it's almost too strong! Nice red color, adds a nice pop of color.
