This is a good contour gauge, for the price a good bargain too. These are helpful because when you look at the actual impression you notice things you normally wouldn’t. Take this picture for example, the caulk built up on the right corner made the impression show a rounded corner in one spot that you might not have seen otherwise.I’ve had friends that complain about their pins slipping, messing up their measurement. This one does not slip. You need a little pressure to slide the pins where you want them, then gently move the gauge to wherever going. A little pinch pressure won’t hurt but not entirely necessary. There is a metric and SAE ruler on the black part which is useful to within a 16th of an inch. The pins are not quite a 16th of an inch, 16 together measure around 15 and a half 16ths, so very close. Good enough for my trim work because i’m caulking small gaps anyway. Unless you are doing very fine craftsman work, this will work well for you.

The angle finder works well. The tines are a bit thick-they are plastic-so the tracing will not be real refined but for the money it would do a great job 99% of the time.

This thing is ingenious ! Wish I had it for a lot of other jobs I’ve done around the house.

Had high hopes and was let down by this. There was no lock to hold the needles in place and it was hard to even push the needles to form the corner pieces and some needles would move easily and some would move hard and some would not move at all. Very cheaply made it's all plastic also.

Appears to be of good quality but it does not keep its shape because the blades are too loose.
