Paint was a perfect match to the car.

I have a ford edge sport and the grocery store nightmare happened when a shopping cart hit and scratched my driver door. I keep my car perfectly clean and wash/wax regularly because I love my car and want to keep it looking new.I wanted the OEM paint directly from ford, so I found the color code on the drivers side panel when I opened the door. I found a few of them online but the prices were high. Like every other comparison, I come over to Amazon and find this paint for a super reasonable price.This paint went on smoothly and you can’t even tell there was a huge scratch on my door. I’m keeping this on hand for any future scratches that appear on my car.Excellent buy!

This is a good, but not perfect, way to fix some small scrapes and scratches in your Ruby Rub (*insert model of car here*). The paint itself is a nice match for the factory paint on my mom's Lincoln MKC. And the fact that this kit has a paint pen, paint brush, and a clear coat applicator means that you should have everything you need for a nicely concealed chip repair.The reason I don't think it's perfect has more to do with the color, than the kit itself. According to the supervisor at a local Ford dealership's body department, the metallic flakes in the touch-up paint don't lay as nicely when they are applied via brush, as opposed to when they are applied via spray (like from the factory). Because of this, the light may hit the touched up spot just right, and you'll actually see a darker area than the rest of the paint. No matter what I did, the repaired chip either came out a bit darker than my OEM paint, or the chip was still visable through the touch-up paint. It was frustrating, but despite the outcome, the chip looks 1000x better than a full-thickness chip on the hood. So, overall, and especially for the cost, I have a hard time not recommending this kit.

I have bought this touch up paint before and it always does the job. It's great for little stone chips and for minor scratches but nothing big. It contains two types of brushes, one a needle point and the other a very small brush. The kit also contains a clear coat paint for over the color to help match your car's original base/clear paint finish.Overall I would recommend this product.

I'm happy with the color, but do NOT like the design of the container or the horrible instructions on how to open and use the product. Even after reading all the other comments and poor instructions on the container, I still managed to spill a portion of the red paint on my driveway and my hand. I was able to touch up the three spots on my truck that needed attention, and hope I don't get any more because I don't want to mess with that container again!
