Junior's Cheesecake 8" Best of Sampler (Serves 10-12)

Typical heavyweight New York cheesecake. Wonderful flavors. A tad pricey but well worth it. Plan to purchase more, makes a great gift !

Bought this for my husband for our anniversary as a surprise and it was a total hit! It arrived within 4 days of placing the order. In perfect condition. The cheesecake was AMAZING! It’s the best ever cheesecake hands-down. Tku for carrying it on Amazon! That made it cheaper (if you have prime) and easier!

8” sampler arrived a week earlier than promised, and packed in plastic, styrofoam, and cardboard, with a freeze pack under the cake. Result: chilled and intact cheesecake 😀 This was a birthday gift for someone who’s been craving Junior’s cheesecake but unable to get to NYC for a couple of years. BIG success!

We have purchased multiple times. It is a family favorite with it's four options to choose from. Only downside is the price and availability is sometimes challenging.

I saw a show on TV the was showcasing juniors cheese cake. So I thought I'd give them a try. And I'm glad I did!! The cheese cake was fantastic!I was curious how the shipping would be since I live in Minnesota. But it was packaged well and showed up in perfect condition.

Cost way too much

After talking it over with my sweetie, we ordered a $65 sampler as an early anniversary treat.Our anticipation grew until the day it was finally delivered atop our welcome mat, on it's side, even though the box was clearly marked "This Side Up" which included a symbol of an arrow for the illiterate.I urgently ushered it to the kitchen counter, and with the dexterity of a jeweler, I freed the dessert from it's cardboard and styrofoam trappings.There was a short deliberation as to which flavor we should explore first. Original NY plain won out over brownie marble swirl, raspberry swirl and apple crumb, as we agreed it would provide the appropriate baseline.I wish you could have been there to see our faces after taking that first bite."Does this kinda blow?", I asked my wife.Her assessment: it was very dense with a strong taste of cream cheese... let me rephrase... with only the taste of cream cheese.The expected sweetness and flavor of vanilla (or even lemon) went AWOL, and even though we were still within the First 48, there was no hope of bringing them home.C'mon man, if I wanted to eat a block of cream cheese... I wouldn't.And not really getting the whole "sponge cake base" thing, which ended up being compressed into approx 1/16". How I longed for the taste and texture of a graham cracker crust, as one might find on even the smallest cheesecake in a Costco warehouse.I know the reputation these cats have, and that their recipe hasn't changed since the Civil War... but I don't think this is a case of "Craft Syndrome" where growing up on substandard mac n cheese skews the pallet into believing it really is the cheesiest.Sorry, Junior's, I'll give the other flavors a fair shake, but homie, I'd rather be macking up on anything from the Cheesecake Factory right about now.
