So glad to find a book about the history of one of my favorite German football clubs. Very nice condition and a great read.

Great book about the history of a great club

I became a BVB fan for 2 reasons. The first, I grew up in Buffalo, N.Y.; sister city to Dortmund. The second, is my cousin and his family live there. This book only reaffirms my goal to fully understand the history of this working-class team and get a chance to catch a match at Signal Iduna Park.

It was a very easy read. After a point, the names can get confusing. But it's writtenn in such an enjoyable way that it doesn't really matter. As someone reading in 2023, I wish this book had been able to touch on Haaland, Bellingham, Brandt etc. But of course, the book came out before these events.

I have followed German football for over a decade and found this history of BVB a really well researched and entertaining read.There are other cult clubs like Union Berlin and St Pauli but for me BVB have a really fascinating history and this book documents it excellently.
