Works well, feels secure, the flexibility is very convenient compared to rigid screw-in anchors
These are easy to install (unless you have really rocky ground, I suppose), and they feel very solid. I used them to anchor a swingset, and they are clearly superior to the screw-in type anchors that were recommended. I like having the flexible cable end that can be wrapped around a bolt and secured tightly, rather than a rigid anchor end that would stick out and potentially be more of a tripping hazard.I followed the advice of other reviews here and pounded the rod in alone first, then removed it and re-pounded it in with the anchor on the end. This worked well, and while I haven't used all the anchors yet, I haven't had one break. One tip I'd offer is that the cable pulls up quite a bit when you pull it up to set the anchor. So when you first pound it in, you can drive it down farther than you think you should. Then when you pull it up to secure the anchor, you'll wind up with a few inches of extra cable length to wrap around your bolt or whatever.

Lasted 12 years
I know it's been 12 years since I purchased these. And things do age. I'll have to purchase another set at some point. Used these as an added anchor to my Harbour Freight greenhouse bottom wood frame I built. Noticed today that the cables are rusting away. So they do last a long time.

Great product, works exactly as advertised!
Bought this to help right my Mango tree that got blown over to a 45 degree angle by Hurricane Irma. This worked amazingly well! Pounded it down in the ground as deep as it made sense to do so and then hooked the tree up to it using a truck tie down ratchet strap to easily pull the tree back into a vertical position. The earth anchor stayed perfectly in place and didn't budge...only concern I have is how do I get it back out!? I think I'll have to dig it back out with a shovel or cut it off a couple inches below ground level so it won't get caught up in the lawn mower blades. Over all, great product that I hope will be able to help me save my mango tree.

Don't waste your money!
The kit comes with six aluminum anchors, each with a stainless steel cable attached, and a pretty heavy duty rod for driving the anchor into the ground. Everything was in in the box as expected. I bought this kit to anchor a storage shed to to the ground, intending to drive the anchors into the ground and wrap the cable around floor joists before putting the floor deck on.The idea is that you put an anchor onto the end of the the drive rod and then pound the drive rod with a hammer, driving the anchor into the ground. The anchor pulls the attached cable into the hole as you go. Once it's deep enough, you pull on the cable to rotate the anchor into into a horizontal position underground and attach to your structure. The first anchor drove into the ground and attached no problem. However, when I tried to drive the second anchor into the ground, it got about 8-10 inches down when I hit the drive rod and noticed that it drove further into the ground without pulling any more cable into the hole. I pulled the rod back up and and noted mud on the end of it. It had broken the front of the anchor off and drove straight through into the dirt. I easily pulled the anchor out of the ground by the cable. Obviously, this isn't useful at all as an anchor!Overall, three of the six broke in this same way. I'm left wondering how effective the remaining three anchors are. I went instead with an auger style anchor which was much more difficult to install, but will hopefully be effective.Unfortunately, I ordered these too long before I needed them, so I'm past the the return period now. Shame on me there, but at least I can help future customers make an informed decision!

Bought to anchor metal building
They install easily and are sturdy but the cable clamps rusted almost immediately and don't really clamp the cable well enough.

Worked fine, but the drive rod broke through the anchor ...
Worked fine, but the drive rod broke through the anchor as it was being driven through the ground. It is rocky here so I give it some credit for that. When they did not hit a rock it performed very well. I would say if you are anchoring in a rocky area order an extra set because some will break. All in all I am very satisfied with product. I have it anchoring a shelter logic shelter 16' tall by 36' long with my camper inside, shelter will never go anywhere with these anchors holding it down.

They are tough but pre-drill the holes.
Used these to secure my golf practice nets in place. At 10 by 15 feet it is susceptible to the desert winds where I live. These anchors were easy to install and have proven up to the task in winds over 60 MPH so far. Try to be gentle with the drive rod, I used a water probe to pre-drill my holes and still had some small difficulty at the end of the driver where it meets the anchor. Hit it too hard and you are in shovel town. Otherwise a great product for a very good price.

Excellent anchoring system
This was a great product. It is easy to install and works wonderfully. I used it to secure a wooden playset to the ground that had a lot of mulch below where normal stakes didn't work. The only thing I had to do was use a longer rod than was supplied. I purchased a 36" zinc rod from my local hardware store so I could hammer in the stake deeper (the supplied cable is longer than the supplied rod for hammering). It was simple and is very sturdy.
