This item had a label created on it, said item was already sanitized. That being said, I did not need to wash the item and trusted the hardcore package that it came in. Not a plastic wrapper, a linen wrapper. If you are looking to go fully organic this item is for you. That being said this item is kind of thin. My 3 and half wouldn't have much use for the item, maybe younger but I was upgrading from a thinner pillowcase. With this dilemma I had an accidental fix. Which was having a pillowcase shrink and was already about 1 inche smaller (13. inches) than the width of this pillow. Which made the aforementioned pillowcase scrunch this pillow and keep it in a shape fluffed and into a thicker setting. Which fixed my problem immediately. There was no odor coming from the pillowcase, squeezing the case the contents could be felt as soft yet firm and more importantly did not separate when squeezed hard. Indicating no issues of displacement problems when sleeping on said item. The size is exceptional for my child and the look and feel of the item is quality. The shape keeps its hold due to the quality of the outer lining protector. I also believe there is a stich pattern to prevent clumping as well. Meaning the item is just not a straight rectangle but has tactical stitching in place for a head that is not flat. Get this item if you are looking for an extreme organic setting for your child. As I am not comfortable with off gassing foam pillow for my child, this works extremely well for me. Child slept wonders with this item. Stayed awake during a chain reaction false fire alarm as well. Doing the aforementioned techniques, this may last me years as well. Or at least comfortable enough to the ages where a foam pillow would be comfortable for me to have for my child. Note My toddler instantly liked the item Did not overheat my child's head when slept on. No fumes out of package Let item air out just in case Fit will into a larger 16-inch width pillowcase with ease and felt like it too flat for 16 inches. May need a form fitting pillowcase I used a muslin material for the inside pillowcase as I know it will bend if pulled or pushed, and a cotton pillowcase for the final cover. I plan on protecting this item with pillowcases, as reviews say this item does not wash well. Organic material, so half water half rubbing alcohol may suffice to air out or disinfect or remove some odors.

A little bit smaller than I expected but the thickness and comfort of this is great for my toddler. He’s obsessed! I also love that it aid better materials for not a fortune!

The pillow worked fine for a first pillow but it's pretty flat amd within a few months we transitioned to a different toddler pillow that was thicker. I would have probably just would have skipped this one.

Poor quality, unsuitable for children, and no accountability I purchased multiple items from this brand for my children, including a pillow and three sleep sacks. Despite following the care instructions exactly, the pillow clumped badly after washing and permanently lost its structure. I was then told this is essentially expected and that the product is only covered by a 3-month warranty, which the company claims is sufficient for identifying defects. That is unacceptable for children’s bedding. Items for kids must be fully washable for basic hygiene and safety. If washing as instructed ruins the product, it is not fit for its intended use. Customer service offered scripted care tips instead of accountability and made it clear the company does not meaningfully stand behind its products. A premium-priced brand with a three-month warranty speaks for itself. Given this experience — across multiple children’s products — I will not be purchasing from this brand again and do not recommend it to other parents.
