After reading the reviews -many of which were negative at the time- I decided that these would be just right for my needs; basic hankies to have around the house in place of tissue boxes, and to pack in my backpack & car in place of disposable travel wipes.I'm extremely happy with my purchase... I've washed them with jeans, bedding, and towels while softening them and the hems are holding up well with only minimal fraying in the corners.They're now folded and tucked into small boxes around the house where disposable tissues used to sit, and I'm pleased to not have to add to the rubbish bin every time I get a sniffle.I've also found a nice little zen-zone in the methodical folding of small pieces of fabric (in addition to these I have prettier small hankies for purses, and larger hankies for the tough work like chilly morning walks) -- all is well :)

I needed lots of small handkerchiefs to carry so that I could deal with the frequent tearing of my eyes due to an ongoing problem. While these are the perfect size for that -- they are fairly small and don't make a big bulge in your pocket -- they are not quite soft enough for the delicate skin around the eye. Additionally they aren't quite as absorbent as I need. I do think that they would be great for most people who really only want a handkerchief for their nose. I like the fact that they are plain, no ornamentation, and all cotton. This is a great deal as these are well made. They have a little rolled hem around the edges. Very nice. I have put one in the pockets of all the coats and such that I wear frequently so that there is always one at hand.

These feel like they have some kind of starch in them that makes them quite stiff at first. I simply washed them all and they are perfect. They are the right size and I love the fact that there were so many for a very resonable price. After multiple washes for some of them the stiching has held up, too.

Washed 3 times before use, but still wasn't soft enough. Good quality, but not as soft as I'd like

Recyclable paper facial tissues or bamboo ones are good, but washing these are cheaper.

These hankies are light weight and perfect especially if you need a bunch.The edges are well sewn and have not unraveled yet even after a few washes.They are pure cotton and bleachable.They come pressed & starched and soften up nicely after a few washes.Definitely worth buying.

These handkerchiefs are a joke! Very, very thin & stiff as a dog's hind leg!! Very disappointed in them!!

These were a Christmas Gift for a 92 year woman who does needle work.

These are OK, not very soft - and need ironing after laundering.
