Ice Boss Pro Stainless Steel Portable Ice Maker Machine High Output Ice Maker

The machine is easy to use and the ice is quite nice. I had no problems until it stopped working after only 3 months of use.I used this machine daily, which I don't believe it is made for. I only used highly filtered water and placed it in an ideal location without moving it. the problem is that it doesn't siphon the water from the water tank to fill the tray - it doesn't even attempt to. I've tried unplugging and allowing it sit. I've cleaned the valve - everything I can think of other than taking it apart, which I'm not confident in doing being that I would have no idea what to look for. It just doesn't work. And it's already past the deadline for returning.I would expect this machine to stop working after a year or so, given that it was used daily. However, three months is just ridiculous after paying nearly $200.I wouldn't suggest this machine if you are needing it daily. Although, it would probably be a good investment for intermittent use.TIP: Because the fan on the side of the machine blows out warm air, I suggest not sitting too close to anything where the air can blow back onto it. Otherwise, the ice will be very wet because the environment is too warm.

Works great, makes plenty of ice, quiet, looks nice. Protective plastic coating was put on before assembly so it is a little challenging to remove. I cube sizes are the same but small sizes are more hollow and medium less then large are the most solid. This will work out great this summer for fishing trips, and in the RV on vacation. In an average 3 - 4 week RV trip we will usually have to buy enough ice to pay for this machine.

Sorry to say but I had high hopes for this unit,but was disappointed. Unpacked it, did take some time to get the plastics wrap that covered this machine. Followed previous posts about letting unit sit overnight to settle the coolant down. STARTED UP IN MORNING FOLLOWING DIRECTION TO THE LETTER. Everything worked pump,ladle and it sounded like I was in business, one problem it wouldn't make ice. Maybe it was just a bad unit,,was hoping for better. Anyone have any similar problem? Was going to use this in our RV.

This is one of the best Ice makers on the market for the price point range/market. I have used many others, many failed, some stopped making ice others would make ice slower over time? I have no consistent patterns for why some behaved the way they did, especially the ones that starting making ice slower, I don't get it. It was cleaned, well maintained, etc... Well, this machine has not had those problems. This machines also makes more ice than any of the others I purchased in the past, it's not even comparable in the amount you get in one basket or daily. This may sound a bit funny but my only complaint is the size of the ice cubes. There are 3 size options, small, med, and large. Well, even the small are larger than the large out of many of those other machines I used. I'm an ice chewer, bad habit, don't tell my dentist. But you're likely not going to be chewing these to easy. So, rest assured I speak from experience, no guess work. This is the best, better than all the others at the same price point. Save yourself the time and click purchase. I don't post reviews frequently but I felt this one item deserved some attention since I had a problem with so many others. Cheers!

I haven't actually tried to use this yet. I'm praying that it works. The stainless steel surface of the ice maker was covered in a sticky white plastic film. Maybe it was intended to be protective, but it took me over an hour to remove the film and I ended up with several scratches in the stainless steel surface. Next time ship it with Goo Gone. I should have bought an EdgeStar. That was my first choice, but I figured with a name like Ice Boss, what could go wrong. The thing better make ice or you're going to get it back scratches and all. I'm FURIOUS!

I am really happy with this ice maker. It works well after I got it through my head how it was supposed to work. It has three size cubes and they are all physically the same size. The only difference is the larger the cube the smaller the hole is in the center. Still haven't figured how it does that but it does work. I read the other review before ordering and discounted it because anything can be delivered damaged. If you are looking for an inexpensive solution to having extra ice around, this is it.
