Make it last forever
For anyone wanting to prolong the luster of the charm.. I used clear polish, 2 coats and put the "J" charm on my actual gold necklace. It will last for years.

Clasp is deficient
The clasp is very, very tiny and the link it attaches to is also very very tiny. I struggled for a long time to put it on. I had to asked someone and their first comment was "omg this is way too small." The initial is an inch and attractive. The chain is delicate and fine.
