Brass Functional Padlock Collectible Golden Locks from Indian Accent (Lion Lock)

This lock is a great example of traditional metal craftsmanship. It is not mass-produced on a factory line but made individually in small numbers for commercial sale. There is a sort of puzzle in the keying and release mechanism which makes the lock a nifty item.I won't give away the secrets of the lock here but suffice to say it took a bit of time to discover all its features.Great piece of locksmithing but don't use it to lock the strong box you keep your gold in.I bought it for a gift but would have kept it had I not believed in the Japanese view of gifts.That is, for those who are close to you, give something you would cherish yourself, a gift with meaning beyond simple obligatory gifting.That is what this lock is.Heavy too. Substantial brass forging and hand finishing.

I bought this lock to hang on a community walking overpass that has a history of people adding locks. I thought it would be fun for my kids if we hung a really special lock in it. This one was the winner. So, on Sunday, we took a walk down to the beach and stopped on the walking bridge and added our lock to the community collection.It stands out amongst the other locks and I like to believe people enjoy seeing it as they pass by and see this really large and cool fish lock amongst all the master locks.

The media could not be loaded. This is a striking and heavy lock. I don't know how it is manufactured for only $20. I used it as a part of an escape-room style game for friends and family. My lock also came with an button in the eye socket that you have to press in order to open the lock. Some players found this 'trick' quite challenging and I think they abused the lock a little in their attempts to force it open. The lock now has more 'play' in the key hole than it used to, and the eye button barely has to be pressed now. But, I largely blame this on the abuse it has suffered at the hands of frustrated game players. And, it does still work. I still think it's a great, impactful lock for just $20.

Although the look *is* functional it’s not the most practical. It’s rather large and doesn’t fit into most locks and the key gets jammed often.

I wanted to LOVE this lock.i needed one that stood out so I could find my locker. However no matter how hard I try-this won't unlock! Key goes in, twist in every direction. It won't budget! Im so bummed.

Heavy duty, made well and decent price.

It’s a lot bigger than it looks in the picture. It’s an old style lock so it would be super easy to pick. So if security is a concern don’t get this, but if you want to lock up a chest to keep children out while having a very aesthetic look this is the lock for you.
