Two year warranty if boughten through Avantree
This Headset works great. I'm a little hard of hearing so when I am watching a baseball game I have it kinda loud. My wife has excellent hearing so it's a constant up and down with the volume. With the Avantree I can turn the volume down so low on the TV that she can sleep on the couch and I don't bother her one bit. Once in a while you have to turn the TV off and back on to sync the headset so there is no lag in the sound. The sound is very good and the warranty is great. One side quit working after a year or so and I thought that I was out of luck but Janice At Avantree said they are warranted for two years so she replaced the headset no charge. I think this is only if you buy the set through Avantree on Amazon so make sure that it is a Avantree site.

Works great right out of the box. Could have better bass response.
The ear buds work great right out the box and are comfortable to wear. Pairing buds to transmitter was easy. Total set up time was about 5 minutes. I was concerned about having to disturb the audio setup for my TV and surround sound bar. If you have a cable TV box, check the back of the cable box for audio and power outputs. My cable box has an optical out for audio and a USB port that's needed for powering the transmitter. I wasn't using these since my TV is connected to the cable box using HDMI cable. I can mute the TV (or turn the volume up or down) without affecting the audio through the ear buds. The two connections work independently so I didn’t have to use the bypass feature on the transmitter. Sound through the ear buds seems tuned more toward middle to higher frequencies like voices. There’s noticeable lack of bass response. I’m ok with that; I didn’t expect these would be audiophile ear buds. Range was OK for our house and allowed roaming within about 50 feet. The more walls and obstacles you get between you and the transmitter the less range you get. Overall, very pleased with the purchase so far. Don't yet have a feel for how long the charge will last on ear buds. Have great hopes it will be a good compromise between those that need the TV loud to hear it and those that like peace and quiet.

I wrote my previous review in frustration. I apologize for that.
I wrote my previous review in frustration. I apologize for that. So I'm updating my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. As for the connection problems I had. Make sure the headset is completely charged before starting to connect. I found that the audio setting for your TV must stay on the correct setting. I am using the optical cable, so the unit must stay on the optical setting. Sounds simple but the setting came easily be accidentally changed. What that means is you can be connected but hear no sound. As for function and sound, the unit sounds very good and works well. The 4 stars and not 5, I,m still a little frustrated at times. But I do feel it is overall a good device.

TV Ear Buds
I got these so I could listen to the tv through the earbuds at a louder volume than my wife, who is listening to the TV speakers. It’s a crap shoot though. Some TV’s will mute the internal speakers if something is plugged into one of its auxiliary ports, and then only the earbuds work. I was lucky. Our M-Series Vizio TV did not mute its speakers, so now we can watch TV together and I can now hear what’s going on. Before, I had to have the volume too high on the TV speakers, as I’m a bit hard of hearing. This was annoying for her and we couldn’t both watch at the same time. Now we can. Avantree makes a good system for this, and it’s easy to install. I used the optical port and it works fine. The earbuds volume is completely independent of the speaker volume, meaning that she can turn the speakers up and down without changing my earbud volume. Perfect. The earbuds themselves sound good but not great. Maybe they are great and I just can’t tell. If one of you needs to hear the TV at a different volume, get this setup. If it doesn’t work they will happily refund you and suggest another product that might work. Avantree has a number of different solutions for TV audio. Also, this setup would make it possible to listen with the internal speakers completely off if someone is trying to sleep. I’m happy to have found a TV gadget that solves our audio problem. Thank you Avantree. We can stay married now. That’s worth $90 eh?

Essential for Hard of Hearing to watch TV
This device has enabled me to enjoy TV movies again. I’m hard of hearing and my hearing aids are as good as they make. My TV has an added sound bar, but movies and shows come through with garbled conversation. Getting this Avantree transmitter with wireless earbuds changed this. For the first time in years I can hear conversation in movies and shows on TV. I researched the HT5006 along with similar transmitters and decided to go with the top rated Avantree. Its pass-through capability is one of its prime features. It turned out to be a wise purchase. From my perspective, they’re worth every dollar. I’m not dwelling on the sound quality of LL vs. HD, because I’m neither an audiophile nor in need of ANC headphones. To be fair, the earbuds could be improved, but I don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Since my TV doesn’t have a USB C 5 volt 2Amp output, I needed to buy a good multi-port transformer. In my opinion, Avantree could have done a better job stressing this requirement more than they do in their video instruction and manual. The USB C power supply is critical to its operation. Even reviews don’t make this clear. It needs one output for transmitter power supply and another for charging the earbuds. I’m not used to wearing earbuds, so I needed to get used to them. They’re comfortable, and in the future I can get a decent set of wireless earphones to pair with the second pairing capability of the transmitter. The earbuds don’t have a muting capability, but removing the buds is a good alternative to including an expensive muting capability. The Avantree earbud “harness” is all right, but takes a little getting used to. Small potatoes! I recommend this Avantree HT5006 (earbuds) without reservation, but if wearing earbuds is bothersome, I would just as easily recommend the HT5009 with the wireless headphones. If you’re hard of hearing as I am, you can’t do better. They'e essential.

Worth the cost... especially with the awesome Customer Support!!!!
Many have said it and I will repeat it, the Avantree Customer Service is pretty awesome! They are always responsive, quick, polite and patient. The products are pretty good as well. Once you figure out the programing of the buttons, by following the instructions or talking to support, the products works just as expected. The connectivity is often a little trouble, but Ms Janice has showed us 'the way'. THANK YOU, JANICE! I don't actually think the products are too pricey especially for the need they provide. I have a headphone/earbuds for each TV in the house and I have had them for at least 4 years.

Works well for somebody with impaired hearing but...
* None of the supplied sleeves really work for me. * The tone it makes when volume is turned up to max is about 5x too loud - boarderline painful. * The On/Off/Volume Control module hangs on the right earbud and makes it slightly uncomfortable. Moving it down to the neck ring would cure that while making it just as accessible. * Waiting for the 3-second button press-and-hold to turn it on or off *sounds* trivial but, in practice, becomes a repeated minor annoyance. The Medley Clear's instant On/Off slider is far superior. Other than that, this device works as advertised for this user - whose hearing is such that they are closed-caption-dependent without it. The volume control is especially handy - not being present on the el-cheapo buds I got for proof-of-concept. In my setup on a Samsung TV, the external amplifier/speakers are connected to the analog audio output port and this device is connected to the optical output port. This gives me complete control over speaker volume (including mute) via the TV's remote. The earbud's volume control works independently of the TV/speakers. EDIT 2023 01-18: I bought a Medley Clear instead of these 5006's for my other TV on annother room. The basic functionalities seem tb identical, but I prefer the Medly so much that, if I had not thrown iut the 5006's box, I would be tempted to return the 5006 and buy a second Medley. The main reason being that the Medley's slider On/Off switch is soooo much more convenient than the 3-second press-and-hold required on the 5006's.

Better than expected....
This was the 4th tv\wifi\headphone device I have ordered, lot of others failed miserably, this one made the grade - finally! I stay up late to watch movies, this works great for that! also, I bit hard of hearing so.... Easy to set up, syncs up immediately with the included headset. Long battery life, I'd say about 6-7 movies worth. Sounds is as good as you would expect from this type, but still pretty good sound. I thought I would have problems with the in-ear style, but after trying the different cone\fittings, medium works just fine, does not start to ache after 2 movies, no problem. ++ is the independent volume control, good range. bypass feature. 3 stars are because the optical cable included did not work, no response from their helpdesk on that....had to buy another via amazon...go fig.
