Does this dry out your dogs skin? My maltese got super flaky/scaly skin all over the body after use.

Not at all.  Used this shampoo product and the spray and my English Mastiff never showed signs of dry skin.  In fact, just the opposite.  Your dog may be allergic to this product.

Question 2

Does this also remove the smell from the dog's body?

yes , it did remove that nasty smell from the dog . You shampoo the dog leaving it for 30minutes (seems forever for me and dog ) rinse well .  Every other day , had

to do it 5 times then every week til everything looks better . now he has fuzz growing on bad spots . A lot of work .. I'm happy.

What are the differences between this shampoo and mal-a-ket?  that other is a bit more expensive but appears similiar.  thanks.

I'm not sure what the difference is but I can tell u that I have a Yorkie that is allergic everything and was breaking out in hives. I heard about this shampoo from a relatively tried it, after just one wash over 3/4 of her hives were gone in just a day and she stopped digging. I use it every 2 weeks and she has not had anymore hives from anything she is allergic to. With this shampoo u can wash them as often as u want up to 3-4 times a week if u want. It does not dry their skin out. I hope this helps but believe me it helps and works wonders.

Question 4

Just gave my 2 dogs a bath & a good amount of their hair is coming out when i pet them.  Does this happen to anyone else?

when I worked in a grooming shop we had a couple bulldogs with terrible issues, we bathed them once a week in head in shoulders or selsun blue medicated shampoo. Yes I know they are human shampoos, but I was impressed to see the changes in these dogs coat. After a month of once a week we went to every other week for maintenance. good luck, I am dealing with a itchy shih tzu that has environmental allergens.
