Sloppy construction.
Just as easily, this could have been a 5 star rating. However, the lack of attention to a simple detail by the manufacturer was very disappointing & frustrating: two 'n' or 'u' shaped pieces are bolted onto the underside of the stool with a total of five bolts. The bolt passes through a hole in the metal tubing: one bolt in the center and 4 bolts on the segments of tubing underneath the seat. Now the bolts enter the underside of the seat. Well, the holes in the tubing did not allign accurately with the holes in the bamboo. What should have been a 5 minute task ended up taking a good 20 to 26 me it

It keeps me safe in the shower.
I like that it is smaller and fits in tub better. I feel more secure in shower. Spinal issues and I never know when it will cramp and I have to sit a bit before finishing my shower.

currently using in kitchen
I purchased this item to use in the small shower I have as will be having knee replacement surgery. So far it has only made it to the kitchen. If I have to stand long, I use this chair sitting high enough to be able to see in pot when on stove. Said it held 350#s, so at 280 I have felt confident in using it. I like it but these items have to be a personal preference.

Bamboo stool
Easy to assemble, adjustable height, and nonslip. Hardware had a tendency to loosen but can easily be fixed. Not to big and is good to have when shaving legs.
