Bought my wife a new bike for her birthday and knew a strong bike lock would be important to her. This thing arrived and, by the weight of it, not overly heavy but solid, I knew it was quality. The holder that attaches to the bike works very well, attached to the frame with the factory accessory screws that came on the bike. Once attached, it looks good aesthetically, the lock looks like it came with the bike. It’s a very clean looking and functioning lock.

The lock is very sturdy, but is very clunky. The lock/latches stick a bit. The elbow joints need some WD-40; even then they aren’t very smooth.

It is great not having to deal with another key to secure my bike. This is compact with good mounting options. Due to the weight it will only go with me when I anticipate a high degree of risk. More user friendly than heavy U locks but greater strength than most chains.

I had my moped locked to a steel pipe. Thieves tried to twist it to break the lock. Then they tried to cut through a link with a bolt cutter, got most cut, about 1/4" to go when someone in the building made a noise and the thieves split. They didn't notice that I'd left the combination on, so all they had to do was push the red button- dumb thieves. Indestructible lock. So conveniently compact I can fold it and keep it in my seat. Guess I'll replace it with another from Amazon. It's great that breaking the lock takes a long time- enough for someone to notice the attempt.

It really need at least one more link; it's *very* difficult to find just the right angle/position to reach back to lock - also, the lock itself doesn't rotate so that reduces the effective length significantly. Really close, but not recommended.

Well made but way too short to be of any use

Had to leave my scooter for 3 days in a high traffic area. I was convinced it would be gone. When I arrived, the lock was bent to hell, but it never broke! Thank you!

Thieves won’t be able to cut the links, but they had no problems Belem ripping the plastic combination numbers off. This garbage got my Trek Émonda SL5 stolen. Please don’t my buy this product.

It is a great alternative to the original from Arbus for a fraction of the price. You always get what you pay for but this is a solid bike lock, easy to use. Although I wish I had gone for a little bit longer version since it is to short for for some bike racks.

The pictures do not show, but you can actually easily screw it into the water bottle bracket place. Unlike some reviews say, it does come with holes and you can access across the mount (while empty, without the lock itself). It also comes with pre-threaded on the other side so you can mount the water bottle bracket on top of the mount. This is a review only about the case mounting. I received it today cannot evaluate the other features yet.

I was able to utilize an underframe water bottle mount (totally useless for water) for this lock. I purchased this instead of the much cheaper same lock with keys, instead of combo. So far, this combination lock has proved easy to use, compact, and easy to remove from it's holder while attached to my ebike. Set up is simple with the 'key' which allows you to change the four digit combo while the lock is open. I have no illusions to the fact that a determined thief could probably get through this lock, but I don't plan on leaving it for very long unattended. It did cost a bit more, but not having to have another key on me, nor deal with what some reviewers said about the keyed folding lock being suspect in terms of the lock and key not fitting well. I'm happy with this purchase.
