Solid and easy to install!
Use a trickle of water from the garden hose when drilling the core. A big drill in the middle can be used to drill a donut like hole and break out the core. This product is great! Use a scrap 2x4 and a hammer to get it in the hole. It may feel like it doesn't fit. Hammer it hard using the wood. This product is tough you won't break it and it will go in the hole. The railing is solid with no movement.

Works better than expected
Had to install the pool hand rail so it is removable. A year later tried it out and a couple turns of all screwdriver and the hand rail pulled right out.Update. Had to remove the hand rail to the pool because we were in the direct line of Hurricane Ian. They worked like a charm. Highly recommended.

Great upgrade
Great upgrade for replacing rotted fixtures. Took about 15 minutes a whole. Super satisfied with the outcome. Replaced all four.

THE PERFECT ANCHOR
Can't say enough good things about this anchor. Best poolside anchoring approach ever. Easy to install after getting core drilling rental from Home Depot. Secures very well and confident it will provide long lasting security/stability.

Compression fit but don't compress it!
Core drilled 3" diameter and 4" deep but the fit was tight. Using a rubber mallet and light tapping got them in place just fine but couldn't get them to tighten up. Worked with seller who reached out to the manufacturer -- even though these are a compression type fitting, they should not be compressed upon insertion. I reamed the two holes out to make them slightly larger, dropped right in and now they hold the pole very tightly -- I can't pull it out vertically with all my force.

Good product - just be prepared to grind it down a little.
I like them - much easier than dealing with mixing concrete and waiting for it to set. I was able to install my pool rail the same day that I drilled the holes. Watch out though, I ended up having to sand the anchor sockets down quite a bit in order to make them fit. The 3" core hole I drilled was nice and straight but when we attempted to but the sockets in they were the same size as the hole which meant that they wouldn't fit. I sanded the plastic down in order to shrink the diameter by approx. 1/16" it would have been nice to get more material off but I got antsy so once I was able to get the anchors in about 1.5" deepI used a rubber mallet to hammer them the rest of the way in. Over all a good product just make sure you have some coarse sandpaper standing by. Where I rented the core drill they did not have a 3-1/16 or 3-1/8 core bit - I suspect a 3-1/16 would be ideal for the product out of the box. There is some play the rail will rotate ever so slightly no matter how hard I screw the anchors down - I'm not sure if this would happen with the other kind of anchors, but I can definitely live with the slight amount of play.EZ Anchor Socket

Great concept with fall short on performance
Hole size recommend it is too big. It allows too much slack even with the ladder installed. By the time you expand it to grip the concrete it is open so wide that it doesn’t give a good purchase all the way around and lets the ladder wobble. Will have to redo and cement in place.

Good for the new pool rail
After drilling two 3 inch holes, fitted these on the ends of the rail, inserted into the holes, and tightened the 2 screws on each. Simple and worked as advertised.
