Texsport One Quart Poly Canteen, Olive Drab Color

Made in China, and is smaller than USGI canteen. Does not fit in a USGI Canteen cup, but does fit in a surplus French aluminum canteen cup made to hold an old style metal aluminum canteen. Photos show a USGI canteen and the Texsport canteen in a Vintage US cup, a current US cup, and the French vintage surplus cup.Secondly, like previously mentioned, it is not OD Green and does not hold 1 US Quart. That's the primary reason this does not get 5 star. It should say "850 ML."The smaller size is actually more convenient for my kids with the lighter (and cheaper) French canteen cup and smaller volume, but it is not a standard USGI canteen 1 Quart. Plus it was really cheap.

This canteen seems a bit small compared to a GI canteen. It has about 1/2 in clearance inside a GI canteen cup. The cap is a bit smaller so they will not interchange with other canteens. When you put this in a GI canteen pouch it fits a lot looser. The GI canteen is 946.35ML, the TEXSPORT canteen is 850ML. Alsso not shown in the picture "MADE IN CHINA" cast in the side of canteen.

Add says 1 qt canteen and shows regular GI canteen. They shipped that small 850 ml dark colored canteen you see in the picture. Flops around in the canteen cover. And it is NOT OD green. No thanks. I returned it. Scammed by China junk again.

Chinese, 850ml but good top

This is a nice quality canteen, especially for the price. I am planning to take it on my upcoming camping trip because when I was testing it out I found that it was comfortable to hold while drinking, it gave a good flow of water and it does not take up a lot of space. For the most part, it is your basic canteen, nothing special but it satisfies apeverything that a canteen should.

Not 1 quart. Only 850 ml. Not. USGI. Chinese junk. Who knows if the plastic is toxic or not.

Does what it is supposed to - holds water. That's all I expect.
