Schmincke - Aqua-Bronze, rich gold, 20 ml, 15 811 032, shiny metallic effects on gouache and watercolor paintings, paper, cardboard, painting board, canvas

This is a very fine milled powder, gorgeous shade of gold. Very pigmented high quality powder.

I ordered both the pale gold and the silver. The gold is very nice. The silver has a very powerful chemical smell that is quite overwhelming and gave me a migraine. The smell lingers for quite awhile and doesn't dissipate. Don't know if I will be using that much.

You MUST also buy the “medium” liquid product to mix. Application is so smooth.

I set out to try metallic paints to find the BEST for a series of projects I was about to work on. I was watching a YT video from Jean Lurssen and she introduced me to these powders. I wanted to compare the golds I was attempting to use to Schmincke. Would it look as good in my work as it appeared in video? I did just a few simple projects and was blown away at how beautiful the rich gold appears. The copper is also a show stopper. I particularly mixed them to a butter consistently and used them without water to provide texture in an abstract landscape. I was looking for shiny especially. These fill the bill! I started with the rich gold, then promptly ordered 3 more metallic colors. Thanks to Schmincke for producing such nice products!

I use this to add a little sparke to my paints. I also use it to mix with my metalic for more sparke.

A painting

I was looking for a perfect gold color to paint the halos on my icons, and after a few unsuccessful tries , I finally found it! Very easy to mix, but dries very fast, so it's important to find the right brush to spread it well, otherwise the streaks are visible and you'll have to do another coat

Nicht günstig, aber supersparsam.Toller, satter Goldton. Das anmischen lernt man schnell. Nehme es sehr gern als Hightlight her.

Add a little tiny drop of water - less is more! Otherwise it doesn't give you the correct depth of colour. No lumps - but mix well first. Add more water as needed in tiny increments. At worse just add more powder to balance it out Goes a long long way. Will last ages. Great colour with lovely depth. I painted onto wood and it was fine. No bleeding out. Went on smoothly. .. dries quickly once applied and washs out of brushes easily with tap water and a little soap. Worth the money. I've got several colours now and am very happy.
