Cheaper, Easy...do it yourself!!!

My kitchenaid stand mixer said "I'm retired" in the middle of a job...LOL! The motor ran fine, the blades stopped turning. A little of research and bang...just need to replace the worm gear.Paying repair man...cheaper to buy a new one. Repair the worm gear myself;...cheaper...took a couple of hours...a little longer than trained repair man... did I say...CHEAPER than paying someone else or purchasing a new Kitchenaid stand mixer....

Fit well but did not last

YouTubed the repair when pretty easy. Saved a lot of money repairing them to replace. Mixer is working good but seems a little louder.Lasted a month then nylon portion of gear started spinning on aluminum portion. Poor quality

Purchased this gear installed and it was found to be not as durable as original, it slipped under heavy load, Ok for light mixing.

Waste of time

The part took forever to get to me. Then it slips... Mixing dough or other thick mixes it doesn't work well at all... 1 star because it did work for dry mixes...
