Spill proof, mess resistant? Yes! I just got them today slapped those bad boys on our chairs and thought wow they look nice, no more then 5 min later I hear clink, crash and liquid hitting the floor. You guessed it! Kid spilled. The water ran right off and on the ground. It’s much easier to clean water water of wood floors then padded chair seats. I like them so much I bought one for our bench that sits on the other side of the dinning room just in case the child wants to sit there because you know there will be another spill.
