Road of Life

This is such an amazing album from a bunch of very talented and gifted musicians. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to this CD since I first purchased it over a year ago. I took a gamble and purchased both this and Firewater at the same time - having only listened to small clips of their music on the Amazon page where you could sample the music. I am a huge fan of 'Red Dirt' music so to speak or whatever you want to call it from listening to bands like Cross Canadian Ragweed over the years and now Cody Canada and the Departed - a cross fusion of Country and Rock and these guys also deliver that in a big way.I was very excited to hear that they were going to release a 'new' album which happened about a year ago now - 'Early Morning Shakes'. This CD has a slightly different edgier sound and yet it's just as entertaining and has had about as many listens as Firewater and Road of Life have already.I love the songs which tell a story on the CDs - they are amazing and haunting. Able to listen to these tunes over and over!I just wish that they would find the time to come up to Wisconsin and tour - I think they'd have a warm welcome here!

I love this group! Heard about them when I read that they performed on the Legends of Rock cruise last year. All of my exploring on the internet made me more intrigued, so I jumped in and bought this CD and I've been in love ever since - can't stop listening, wearing this CD out. It's my go-to when I'm road traveling (which I do frequently for business) and I've actually been putting it on and turning off the sound for my exercise video. You can't not dance to this. All of the tracks are awesome - the two that really stand out are American Outlaw and the extended TYA. I'd love to see these guys live - appears that they don't often venture out of TX. Hope these guys will be getting more national exposure - they're too good not to be out there.

Came in near perfect condition as described. Would buy another one if this CD was kept in stock.

This is MUCH less rocking than anything else they've done. I was kind of shocked. It's not bad, but you'd be better off with anything of there other stuff.

Very good southern rock CD enjoy listening to it very much, However their follow up to this CD is even better. Which is the way it should be as long as bands keep getting better and do not take a step backwards they are doing it the way it should be done keep on rockin' Whiskey Myers.. If you like great southern rock buy this CD and also Fire Water. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait for their next CD and to see them live.

I love this band, they are for real. I am 57 years old and I grew up during the Allman Brothers and Skynard period. This band has a little of both of them in their songs plus some of their own stlye. I got this in the mail two days ago and I havn't taken it out of my vehicle yet. I listen to it where ever I go. It ROCKS SOUTHERN STYLE

this was a suggestion from amazon after ordering blackberry smoke cd.love these guys from texas.have always loved souther rock and these guys know how to do it.very refreshing with the crap called music today.loved whipporwill also and just ordered thier new one.i made a comment on thier face book page and they were kind enough to send a thank you.i think they have the talent to get to the top.

TYA should end every live show like Freebird to skynyrd, Fall of the Peace makers to Hatchett, Green Grass and High Tides to an Outlaw, Highway Song to Blackfoot, Georgia Rhythm to Atlanta Rhythm Section, Mindbender to Stillwater must I go on ? Make no mistake from the first to the latest yes buy every album these guys do.

I would recommend this group to everyone who appreciates southern music

Bought for my husband who discovered Whiskey Myers, when they supported Cadillac 3, at a recent gig he went to. He was delighted with the CD and can thoroughly recommend it.

Dès l'intro du premier titre, c'est époustouflant comme ça ressemble aux premiers albums avec Ronnie Van Zandt !Presque la même voix, le même timbre.Le style quand à lui est similaire aux grands frères mais un peu moins southern. Quelques bribes de country rock, un chouia d'harmonica par-ci, par-là mais sans plus. Ça pourrait être qualifié d'Americana-southern…Pas facile à décrire tant plusieurs styles se retrouvent mélangés mais pour un résultat valant toutes les espérances !C'est puissant, prenant. La section rhythmique est au top, les arrangements aussi.Une perle à posséder pour tout amateur de rock sudiste.

Non conoscevo che superficialmente questo gruppo.Il risultato ha superato le migliori aspettative.Con un po' di enfasi posso dire che mi sono sembrati i nuovi 'Lynyrd Skynyrd'.American Outlaws è poi un pezzo molto immediato ma di grande valore.Sono giovani e la loro ' Road ' sarà ancora lunga.O almeno lo spero.A chi lo consiglierei ? A tutti i miei amici amanti del Southner Rock ,che sono molti.
