I was shocked at how well this pillow works. Extremely comfortable to lay on my back and side. And my face doesn’t feel as smooshed when I wake up in the morning after sleeping on my side all night. I even take it with me when I travel now.

Unless you sleep like a Disney Princess, there is no way to keep your face perfectly in the gap in the pillow. I tried a few nights and if you toss or turn one time, the pillow will be somewhere else and not “saving your face”.

I had been scrunching up my pillow to sleep on the edge to try to save my eyelashes from being destroyed. As a side sleeper I would wake up with crunched eyelashes and it seemed they were getting much thinner. It seemed like a lot for such a small pillow but it really works I like the smaller size as I can place it on top of my regular pillow and it does exactly what I was hoping. The top of the curve supports my forehead, the bottom curve my chin, and it’s very comfortable. I like that cover unzips and can be washed like a standard pillowcase.

Update Aug 2022: I still use this, but I also realized that using my airplane neck pillow works just as well. Had I thought to try that first before spending the money on this, I would have done so. Plus it's softer than this and doesn't hurt my ear. I still use it, but interchange between it and the travel neck pillow.I bought this back in Sept and have used it every night for 2 months. I'm a side sleeper and wanted to avoid adding more wrinkles to my face (mouth and eye areas). I'm 54 yrs old, and 5'4". It's a bit too small to really use by itself, but I have done it. Mostly though, I use it on top of my regular pillow, and it does really keep my face from smushing into the pillow below. So in that respect, it does the job.My biggest complaint is it really kills my ear. It occludes it to the point that when I move my head, my ear canal pops, like when you stick your finger in your ear and then remove it and you get that pop. Not a big deal, but I wish it were softer. BUT, if it were softer, then it wouldn't do its job and keep my face from getting smushed. Sigh LOLSo I tend to use it off and on during the night. When I wake up, if my ear hurts, I remove it and sleep on my regular pillow that has a silk pillow case. When I wake up again, I'll flip it down and put it back on my pillow and use it again. It's small enough that I can just flip it up to rest against my headboard until I'm ready to use it again.Is it worth close to $60? No. Would I buy it again at that price? No, due to my ear issue. If it didn't kill my ear, then I might change that answer as it does keep my face from getting smashed....But I missed the return window so I will keep using it, and it will hopefully help my face in the long run.

I use the save my face petite pillow with my blue wave ultra slim pillow, & they work perfect together. I used the la grande save my face before & it was too thick to use on top of a pillow, but it was also too thin to use alone. I love the petite version combined with my ultra thin pillow.

It works to keep pressure off your face but slips and moves all over the place and is not comfortable to lay on. Put too much pressure on my jaw.
