Does the job, with a few odd quirks
This heater does a good job and if that's all you need, you should purchase it. This one replaced my previous Lasko heater and I have found it to have some features that are annoying. First, every time you move it, it shuts off and all settings revert to factory. That's a good feature if you have small kids or dogs, but if you just want to turn it around, that becomes aggravating. Also in addition to the top "on off" switch you are advised for safety to also turn off the bottom main on-off switch. In addition, after you turn the unit on you need to adjust the mode to heat, extra heat, or fan. I would rather have something that stays at the previous setting. Finally on heat mode when the desired heat is achieved, the unit doesn't turn off, rather it goes into "fan" mode and begins to circulate colder air, cooling the room down. I suppose this is a thermostat effect, but you get into a hot-cold-hot-cold cycle. With all these quirks, I decided to make this a secondary heater and get another Lasko. If you can tolerate the above settings issues, it's a good unit though at this price point it becomes one of the more expensive floor heaters. I would advise doing research and looking at reviews before making a final choice.(Additional edit: Be advised also that my other house remotes such as the TV, DVD player, etc., tend to mess with this heater. I will sometimes change a channel and the heater will turn itself off. Very irritating. When you DO want to turn it off, using the remote gives you a count down of about 25 seconds before it goes off. Not sure what's up with that, but simply lifting it physically will give you an instant off)

Remote chance it'll work good
Heats the bedroom very quickly. A little irritating that it starts in fan mode at first, and you have to cycle through the modes to get the heat to start. But here's my real beef with this unit. When I try to use the remote for my television, depending on what button I hit, I end up turning the heater off or on. It's so sensitive, it doesn't matter how far away I angle the TV remote... it still triggers it. Think I'll have to get a different brand heater for the bedroom and move this one to the other cold room in the house.

Perfect Heater for my 3 season room
The media could not be loaded. I have been looking for a heater to use in my 3-season room, which has Julianne window panes. It gets pretty cold in there--probably hovering in the high 30s these days. We haven't tried to warm it all the the time, given that it's never going to be efficient to heat a 38 degree room up to 70 using an heater, but wanted a fast easy way to do it since it's nice to sit out there when we have guests over--as we will for the holidays.I wanted to find a heater mostly for one-off use in the dead of winter, and maybe more frequent use in the very early spring and very late fall. This heater was great - I placed it in my sunroom with the max setting and it swings around to blow hot air all around the room quickly, which is very good since the air is quite cold and the blower moves it to hot very fast. With the safety tip-over off switch, this gives we peace of mind and we have used it recently a bunch of time. Highly recommended.

Get what you pay for, put it under your desk - yes! warm a room - 3 hours!
I bought this for my mom when her heater broke. I wanted her to sit on the couch (she is retired) or her desk (she does non profit work)... and it work great for 3 feet from you. As for warming a room, big rooms - takes 3 hours and lots of money... for a small office - 500ft - oh yes, let it warm for an hour, under your desk and it works. It is not like the old hot and probably old heaters from 40 years ago... but it has its place if you know its limitations. It kept my retired mom warm for a month until her heater was fixed.... best sitting close and in small spaces - period. Heating a bigger room, you are waiting hours and large electric bills at 1200 watts...

Very disappointed
This heater is not very user friendly. When you turn it on, it goes automatically to the fan, so you have to hit mode twice after the on button to turn on heater. Also, once it reaches the set temperature, the fan turns on. It doesn’t just turn off like others. So this will be running all night. Also, on e you turn it off it has a 30 sec cool down feature where it blows old air. So if it’s facing you, you need to move or turn it back on because now your cold again. The knock over feature is good, very sensitive, but it shuts off completely even after being upright again. Which means you have to go through the whole process again. Also, the front is very hot to the touch, not as advertised. The oscillation is no more than its competitors. It is advertised as wider, but this is not true. The handle in the back is very small (and I’m 5 feet with very small hands) and is difficult to move. If you can get passed all that, it works great. It blows hard hot air and warms a room within minutes. The thermostat appears to be pretty accurate.

Good product , but short lived.
This heater worked great for 8 months , and then out of no where stopped working. Tried moving it to a new outlet thinking that could be the issue , but nothing. Won’t even turn on anymore . Good product but short lived and can’t even return it .

Warms but too noisy
This is a very lightweight heater. Looks good, swivels if you prefer and has multiple option. However, it's very noisy. It was very cold in our bedroom about 5:00 a.m. so used the remote to turn it on. So noisy. Moved it to the bath area adjacent to the room, aiming it towards the bedroom. Still very noisey. Had to turn it off. It heats well but the noise is a problem. Not sure if I'll keep it.

Disappointed with the fan speed
I gave this 4 stars because it doesn’t blow out the warm air very far. You need to set it up pretty close to feel the heat. Also, if you move it at all, everything shuts off and you have to reset temp, fan speed, timer all over again.
