Effective and easy to work with
Delivery was fast. Photo accurately depicts this product - note that some very similar products do not have the split which I wanted because it makes fitting the cables into the sleeve very easy and once "loaded" the sleeve closes on itself by wrapping up on itself with a spring-like action. Velcro or other adhesive not needed. There are many cable management products like this, but I chose this one because it appeared flexible once loaded and I was not disappointed. I use this to combine and control my instrument and microphone cable in a band setting. I'd guess that if it were loaded to the maximum # of cables, making a tight 90 degree turn would cause the split to open at that point, which is what I'd expect from other similar products. Simple cable ties before and after the turn would easily address that.As to the issue of cutting / fraying: Yes, this material does fray when it's cut. That's why the description clearly says a hot knife is recommended. I simply used a match to melt the frayed end - easy, effective, and it looks fine. CAUTION: like all plastics this is flammable, be prepared to blow it out as you would a candle. Also, when you melt the cut end to prevent it from unraveling, you'll want to hold the end of the tube open - no big deal - otherwise you'll melt it in its closed position (see photo). In the end, I'd buy this again to control cables / wires. I think a tan or other neutral color would be a good idea for use in homes where this would be visible. For my application, black is best.

Elegant, functional, and easy to install!
This is my favorite and most elegant cable wrap solution, and I've tried a few. I have velcro straps that are good for tying your cables to something, I've tried elastics which are the same but will wear out as the rubber dries, I've tried the corrugated plastic, which is okay but the seam is annoying and the size is less negotiable. The techflex however looks great right on your desk, and the seam is invisible. The half inch version would fit five thin cables fairly well, and it's really easy to install. I found the best way to get it wrapped at the wrong end, and slide the wrap up to the correct end, which is easier than trying to get the cables to fall into the seam the entire distance. This works for about a meter of cable length then the resistance gets to be a bit much and you find yourself inchworming it along, which is still probably better than trying to wrap it around the cable all along the distance. The only precaution I would make note of is the tendency for TechFlex to unravel at the end if there is tension for your cables to separate, in which case you will want to melt the ends after you cut it. Make sure you don't melt it while it's tubular though or you won't be able to get your cables inside it.

My gig rig just grew up big time!
I'm a virgo, and I've been told I demonstrate the attribute that we like to organize things. It's mostly true. My LPs are no longer in alphabetic order.Anyway, this is another one of those products I cannot believe it took me so long to "come across". I never saw this product as something available for sale and always just assume when performers have cable wraps like this that they were custom produced by their techs.I play keyboards and have been upgrading my rig. I recently decided to use powered speakers and a mixer instead of using keyboard amps. There are a few sustain/volume pedals for the keyboards. So I have multiple power, audio, and pedal cables running from the ground up. Even with cable ties it was pretty shabby looking, and took a while to get it set up and packed up.Using the tech flex allows me to have just 2 "cables" to unwrap at the gig, one that goes up either side. No sea of cords to wade through on the dark stage. I plug in the individual connectors and it's so much cleaner looking. Then after the gig, it's so much easier to pack up.Wrapping my cables was fairly easy since the tech flex opens. For me the most difficult part is I don't like smelling plastic fumes, and in order to keep the ends from fraying, I found melting the best solution (as suggested by other reviewers)I measured the lengths that I need and marked by applying ducktape at the points I was to cut. After cutting, I used a lighter to melt the plastic at the cut ends and then removed the tape. Be sure to keep the opening from melting closed! My first cut didn't go perfect, but I got it after that.I'm very happy, although it's little thing.

Amzimg stuff for organizing cable runs!
Ok this stuff is amazing! The best cord / cable organizer ever. Its very flexible and expands and contracts to perfectly fit the cables you have inside. You need to get the right size to start however as the minimum diameters are just that. We used these to wire our recording studio and figured it would be helpful for people to know what size fits what in the real world. The 1/2 version inch will fit 4 standard extension cords or 5 xlr cables before maxing out.The 3/4 adds about 3 cords to each number. We found both of these sizes useful in our project. And the 3/4 white was awesome for hiding some cable against some finished trim😉.The 1" was a bit large. You could easily fit 9-10 cords in that maybe more. That would be a serious cable run.The material is a woven plastic that feels like rough fabric. Its quite nice stuff. You can cut it with a scissors just make sure you melt the cut edges with a lighter to keep it from unravelling / fraying. This stuff is indispensable if you want to organize your cable runs! The white would work awesome for home theaters or wall mount tv's if you needed to hide cables!
