THIS is a box-cutter!
This is an awesome snap-knife or box cutter. I cannot believe how easy it is to cut Amazon boxes down to size for the recycling bin - something that needs a lot of doing at my house. Fits my hand very well, super easy to extend, love the construction and the hardened steel guide for the blade. Recommend if you need something to cut cardboard frequently.

A solid knife with spare blades.
It's a good design with good fit and finish. The thickness gives a good grip and lets you store 3 spare blades. The symmetric tip lets you flip the blade for left handed use. The auto-lock i noisier than my other knives, but I kind of like it that way. I really like the little pry tool that sticks out the back.My one complaint is that it takes a lot of force to slide the auto-lock out the back in order to remove the blade. It takes so much force that I was afraid I was doing it wrong the first time (I wasn't). Now that I know what to expect, it's not a problem for me, but I doubt my wife has the hand strength to do it. Seems like they could make it a little easier. Hopefully it will loosen with wear. If it doesn't, I can take a file to the little plastic tab on the bottom of the auto-lock. Honestly, it would be fine without it.This is a good knife to throw in a bag since you don't have to worry about losing the spare blades.

Well Designed Snap Off Knife
Sturdy snap off bladed knife that can be used either right handed or left handed just by removing the blade and turning it around. The rubber grip is comfortable and the knife has a good hand feel. There is a prying fin on the bottom, and the knife comes with three extra blades in the slide-out spare blade carrier. The first time I tried to remove the active blade it took a great deal of force, thought I was going to break something. When I finally got the blade carrier out, I found that on the bottom there was a small sticker there which I removed and after that it was much easier to remove the blade carrier. Each snap-off blade segment is numbered, so one knows how many segments are left. This model knife uses an 18 mm wide blade, but other models of this knife are available for use with 9 mm or 25 mm blades. All in all I'm very satisfied with this easy to use versatile product and strongly recommend it.

Good snap-off knife.
I've never had a snap-off knife, I've only used the little razors that have the thumb button to raise and lower a razor. I figured this idea must have validity, because I've seen these around for a long time. I like it! First, the blades are very sharp. With ease, it made a sharp and clean slice through some plastic packaging, that was loose, meaning it didn't need any resistance to make the cut like if I'm using a knife. The second, is the idea you can keep snapping the blade off when it goes dull is also nice. Because, I generally have kept the other style blade on until I absolutely need to change it, and there's usually a period of complaining, but still using it after the razor starts getting dull or getting sticky stuff caked on it. The design of this just makes it to where if it's not doing its job cutting properly and I need to swear, I'd just snap that piece off, and be back in business with a new sharp blade again.Oh, and the grip and adjustment and tail cap little pry thingy all work well and seem to be made well.

Excellent Box Cutter for the Price!
Excellent Box Cutter for the Price!I really like the way this box cutter aka Snap-off knife is built. It feels extremely sturdy in the hand as well as comfortable. The blades are tucked away inside the knife, keeping your hands and fingers safely away from sharp edges. Sliding out the razor blades, is extremely easy and just as convenient to slide them right back in. The blades are sharp and make clean / precise cuts across many materials. I tested it on card board and a bubble mailer but I think it would easily handle insulation and drywall too. The coolest feature is the fact that it comes with an entire new set of new razor blades tucked into the underside of the knife!Pros:- Built Well / It's Sturdy.- Comfortable in the hand.- Blades are safely tucked away inside the knife.- EXTRA set of razor blades included inside the knife too!Cons:- Honestly not sure I can find any cons with this one.

Big improvement over my old snap off knife
I have a snap off knife and it has served me well for many years. I was about to buy new blades, so I went on Amazon and this showed up in my search, so I took a chance on it. First, it is heavier than my old one, and feels much sturdier. The safety guard when you extend the knife is a nice feature. The other thing I love is the way they laser engrave the blades (7 down to 1) so you always know how many you have left before you have to change the blade out.Lastly, speaking of blades, there is a yellow part on the backside of the knife. Pull it out, and you have spare blades with you - no need to hunt for a replacement!
