Works for my poochies
I started giving these to my two elderly dogs daily who were 10 and 11 at the time. One had been diagnosed with dementia and the refused to take the Senilife the vet recommended. These have some of the same ingredients as Senilife and are much easier to administer as my dogs see them as their morning treat. At a 90 count, it's a good value. One bag lasts a month and a half for two dogs. The dogs find these heart-shaped dark brown supplements firm but chewable. This is nice as both have several missing teeth. These have never caused any stomach issues. I've seen a reduction of staring into space and repetitive circling so I believe these have had an impact.

Dogs love them!
My vet recommended these treats for my older dogs cognitive function. I think they work great and help keep her sharp. She doesnโt have the best teeth anymore and they are easy for her to eat. The heart shape is super cute too! Theyโre not the softest treats in the world, a little drier than others, but she doesnโt have trouble. Theyโve never given her any tummy troubles rather. A pack lasts a while for my small dog and they arenโt pricy especially with subscribe and save. Definitely worth it to me!

Miracle supplements for seniors!
I LOVE these and I am SO happy I found them!! I am about to buy a second bag. My almost 14 year old chihuahua is maybe? showing signs of dementia. He is starting to stir in the night and seems to get confused looking for my voice (looks in the wrong direction, though this could be him going deaf too). He is less interested in toys, and sometimes just not like himself. Overall he is still doing really great, but Iโve wondered if his mind is starting to slip a bit. I came to Amazon to search for something to help and these have been a miracle supplement for him! He is so much more alert, excited, happy, playful, not as confused, etc. I can see his little personality coming back and heโs like the little dog Iโve known for so many years. These worked within days of adding to my pupโs morning vitamins. I will continue to buy and recommend these for as long as my pup lives because I have been SO impressed!!! Seriously, if you are questioning if your senior dog has dementia, or notice theyโre just not quite as sharp or like themselves, TRY THESE!!! You will not regret it.

Best for Smaller Breeds
Good product, my dogs love it, but it's a pretty small treat (the size of a jujube candy).

This stuff works miracles.
My Dottie is a 13 year old Great Dane/Dalmation mix. A few months ago she started pacing, panting, being restless, not wanting to be petted or touched. She was up pacing all night, every night. The vet said it was Sundowners and recommended SeniLife. Very expensive for a large dog. It would have been nearly $80 a month. I dug around on Amazon and found the Ark product. Same ingredients as the other minus, I believe, vitamin E. We started giving her two Benadryl each night (vet recommended) and four of these chewables in the morning. She loves them. The Benedryl worked miracles for helping her sleep but the old Dottie was not back. But I didn't give up. I kept giving them to her. Then, after almost exactly three months, there she was. Wanting to be petted, no confusion, no pacing, just my sweet, beautiful girl. I can't say enough about this product. Seriously, don't wait. Try it. So much less expensive and it gave me my dog back. A plus rated in my book.

Better than RX medications
These chews are working! My senior pittie (14 y/o) was having some โsundowningโ symptoms; up all night, pacing, staring, sleepless, and anxious. She scratched the carpet down to the foundation in one corner of my home. We tried RX anti-anxiety meds, longer walks, even put on her thunder shirt, nothing worked. Iโm not even through the end of one bag, dosing 3 chews in her dinner every night, and sheโs already herself again. Sleeping through the night, not restless, no more pacing. These things are truly amazing! I hope they work for you as well as they have for us!

This is a long read, but I am so happy, I think this product deserves telling the full story. After his 4th stroke on New Year's, my 16.5yr old german shorthaired pointer, Wilbur, wasn't doing so well. He hasn't been well for a while, though. But this time, I thought we were going to lose him for sure. We spent hours (from about 1am to 8am ish) cuddled up. I massaged him as he shivered and trembled, whispered words of encouragement, reminded him of all the good times we've had together, covered us with a blanket and generally did my best to keep him cozy and feeling good. The next day, he was unable to stand up, I had to carry him up and down the 2 flights of stairs, and the incontinence worsened dramatically. He seemed limp and uninterested in life. Why didn't I rush to the vet, you ask? Well, it's because he's 16.5 yrs old now, and last time we had a medical emergency and I took him to the DMV, they just wanted to put him down. He was only 13 at the time. It turned out that all he had done was aspirate a grain of rice, which he puked up at the hospital without their even having to operate. Still had to shell out $3K+ for the overnight and all the unnecessary treatments because they treated everything as a worst case scenario, which I guess is a good thing? ๐คทโโ๏ธ I started to research whether or not there were medications for aging dogs and anything that would help a senior pooch get back on his paws. I found foods, but they are crazy expensive, and most are only available through vets, so there is yet more mark up and problematic logistics (like either having to pick up from vet's or pay even more for delivery) The alternative is supplements. These are also pricey, but much less so than the food. I'm still not quite decided which way we are going to go though. I am going to consider which is not only more budget friendly, but more effective for Wilbur. I have just launched into this, so I may have to experiment a bit. I would like to be able to give him both, but I just don't have the budget ๐ As it stands, no matter what, the veterinary associations recommended lots of omegas, antioxidants and a few other things, so I looked for anything containing those items. I found list after list of supplements that recommended pretty much the same brands in their top 3. Unfortunately, the top 2 choices were either out of stock, or not available in Canada. So, I went with #3, which seems to be completely and utterly amazing, and deserves 1st place imo. Ark Naturals is the brand, and it has been nothing short of a miracle. Yes. A fricking certified, I can't believe it's a miracle miracle. If that seems like an exaggeration, let me explain: Wilbur has been showing all the signs of doggy dementia for about 2 years now (since the 1st stroke), going further and further downhill after every episode. At first it was that he slowed down. We went from 25km runs down to 15, down to 10 this past summer; and he really didn't run so much as jog. He seemed to be going deaf. He didn't respond to his name or any kind of interaction. I could clap my hands next to him and bupkis. This from a dog who used to react to sounds and smells from miles away... He wasn't following commands, I assumed because he was going deaf, but it was more than that. He didn't even respond to a hand waved in front of his face. He would just stare blankly into space (more so than his usual derp), sometimes just standing and staring at the wall for long periods. I could tell he didn't really know where he was. He would mistake entryways and was suddenly completely dependent on me to guide him. Wilbur has never wanted guidance... ๐ He has also been sleeping all the time, and nothing wakes him. He's been having accidents in the house too. He ticks all the boxes for CDS (cognitive dysfunction syndrome). So on Jan 3 the "brain's best friend" chewable arrived. He has been getting 3/day mixed in with his food. The difference was visible almost immediately. He has perked up in every way. He isn't deaf, he was just experiencing brain fog. He went down the stairs by himself the day before yesterday for the 1st time again since the stroke. He isn't having accidents in the house. AAAANNNDDD, the biggest deal? When we have been going to the dog park, he's just been wandering around the perimeter, not interacting with other dogs, not even sniffing, let alone playing. He hasn't played with our new pupper Doug in the 4 months he's been with us. He was the running joke at the park because he would just stand by the gate and try to leave with whoever was going out. The other night, for the first time in ages, since before even this stroke, he played with Doug at the park. He ran. He didn't just jog, he wasn't feeble, he wasn't his old self either, but he ran. Legs extended and speedy. He came back when I called his name. My heart burst and I was crying tears of absolute joy. I couldn't believe my eyes. I ran with my doggos. In the middle of a blizzard. We ran together. ๐ It was sheer, glorious joy at seeing my baby getting back to being himself, so thank you Ark Naturals, we are extremely grateful. I am hoping he will be with us for many more years now and that Brain's best friend will make his senior years glorious ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
