This Scooby Doo DVD is a compendium collection of 13 tales (well, 12 really, as Ghosts of the Ancient Astronauts gets two credits) from the early years of the show. The episodes are spread over two discs, and are taken from the Scooby Doo Show (3 episodes from 1976/1 from 1977), Scooby Doo Where Are You? (4 episodes from 1978), The Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo Show (2 episodes from 1979 and 1 from 1981) and The New Scooby Doo Mysteries (2 episodes from 1984). As you can see, the newest episode is over 30 years old, which may disappoint some younger fans raised on Mystery Inc. and Be Cool Scooby Doo.The included episodes make a good selection - it took me ages to get something with Scrappy Doo in to show my daughter, I think she thought he was a figment of my imagination. Some of them look pretty dated but make good nostalgic viewing for adults, whilst the kids enjoy them on their own level.
