Woke up the ol 302. Got the package 4:30 installed and running 5:30. I bought this because my old coil on my f150 was going out and this was a direct wire in because I had the tfi ignition. 3 problems but not really at fault for this product. 1: finding a mounting location was tough but I ended up removing my old coil and hose clamping it down. 2: after you remove the clip and cut the 2 wires there isn't a lot extra. Lucky I had some spare 14 or so gauge wire laying around. 3 if your coil wire is a 90° angle fit you have to splice the wire. But this coil makes it idle so much better and run even better. Instead of half the pedal to move the truck it takes maybe quarter.

These kits are so incredibly easy to install. The directions are very forward, everything is easy to put where it needs to go. The first thing I do on any 924 or 944 I buy is install one of these since the Bosch coils are usually so old they are nearing the end of their life. One thing worth noting is that the resistor packs are nice to have, but depending on the setup may not be necessary, so read the directions carefully since some cars do require them. In tandem with the MSD 6AL unit I purchased, my ignition feels night and day better.

Easily noticed a big difference immediatly after installing on my 1967 Pontiac convertable with a DeLorean OHC6 designed engine which I can not find a electronic ignition distributor to replace my 50 year old OEM distributor that eas only in production for 3 years......

Stock coil died on my 1986 BMW 325 and new Bosch unit was just under 200$. After doing some research found out that this was a plug and play replacement for late 80's early 90's M20 BMW's. Would definitely buy again!

I found out the hard way that this coil CANNOT be mounted in any other orientation then vertical. not even a little.. After speaking to tech support at MSD the Blaster 2 can overheat due to oil inside not covering the internal coils. My car after about an hour of driving would sputter and be hard to start. I change fuel filter thinking maybe it got clogged. It happened the first time right after a fillup. However if the car sat for awhile it ran fine. but a few mins later again same issue. Other than that great product. I did however change to a 8222 that can be mounted anyway...

I have a 1978 Dodge Motorhome that the coil was showing some signs of age. This is king of class for replacment, the extra resistor was perfect aswell..
