Zero runout and robust
The day I got this I screwed it onto a project and got after it.The faceplate came with zero run out, and is a very robust all steel product. I really like having the lockdown screws so I can turn the lathe in reverse to get to the opposite side. The project I'm working on is everybit of 10-12 lbs. This faceplate handled it great. The faceplate has plenty of screw holes so you can rest assured that it is locked in place. I left three blank and still had 9 screws in.This is a good product I would recommend and purchase.

Good value
I needed an inexpensive faceplate for mounting a sanding disk, and this one caught my eye. It’s the cheapest woodturning faceplate with a 1-1/4” x 8 bore, but I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. It’s well machined, with a good surface finish, and indicates true mounted on my lathe.

Good faceplate for the $
This is a nice sturdy little face-plate. Lots of mounting hole options and it runs nice and true. Great value.

Good size, good hole placement, good value, but could use larger flats to allow removal of faceplate.
This faceplate fits fine on my Jet 16 inch EVS lathe. It is a great size for work that is to small to fit on the 6-inch faceplate that comes with the Jet. Since a 6-inch face plate is mostly good for VERY large work I use this faceplate much more frequently. One subtle but nice feature is that the through holes are in two offset rings of differing diameters. This allows you to use the faceplate on blanks that are smaller than the 4.5 inches using the inner row only or larger blanks with more screws. The machining is fine and it runs concentrically. It is a little thinner that some (much more expensive) similarly sized faceplates, but it is still a pretty solid piece of metal. If I had a hundred pound blank, I would probably use a different face plate. For some reason in jams onto my spindle and is harder to remove than any of my other face plates or chucks. This would not be a problem except that the flats are very narrow, so I can't fit any of my wrenches on it to remove it. This is the reason I removed a star, but I am still very satisfied with the purchase.

High quality and precise
I was nervous buying this being its cheap. But I tested the run out and it was less that .001.... cant ask for anything better. Wish they made more sizes

Good quality and price
Nice faceplate. Includes set screw to lock faceplate on lathe for reverse turning/ sanding. Inside threads are properly recessed so that the faceplate screws flat to the headstock. More features that I expected for a generic faceplate.
