Easy Reconditioning of Air Dryer
I was a little intimidated when I finally determined my diesel's air compressor problem had to be within the air dryer. I ordered this kit, which arrived quickly and with easy to follow instructions. After having to remove the old air filter with hammer and chisel I cleaned the interior of the unit and installed this kit. After reinstallation my air system now works like new.

it fits
product is good enough, it fits.packaging leaves me in doubt as to ordering it again without better shipping packaging. the coalescing filter is delicate and was packaged loose with the desiccant filter assembly-which has a lot of mass- along with the purge guard which is hard plastic and other kit components. shipper needs to do a better job of engineering its shipping container-in this case it was a single wall corrugated paper box that when received had the stiffness of wet mush and all the corners crushed without any cushioning inside it,which did nothing much to protect the contents from handling damage.without proper packaging, purchasing this item again from this supplier seems to be a crap shoot as to its arriving here intact inside the box.that said, it fixed all the issues with the air supply, worked well, excellent instruction set, removed drier from vehicle may not be required but it did for me. goodnuff.

Arrived fine and will work as intended
I actually ordered the wrong filter for some reason. Waited to long for return. Had to reorder the correct filter. Anyone want a good deal on a new one?? :)

Total redo of the air brake dryer
Midland kit is perfect for redoing your air brake dryer. While this is the total kit, you should probably check the smaller filter between total rebuild. It's cheaper and does the job. I check the air dryer every 12,000 but then I live and drive in a dry climate. If you live in a humid area, best check the little filter every 6K miles and redo every 24K miles.

Maintenance is important
Installed into diesel pusher motor home with 50K on it. Product comes with basic instruction. After reading instruction & having never servicing this type of filter. I removed filter from Motor Home to do service. Only 3 hoses, 1 bolt & a clamp to remove. Did service on a bench very easy to do. A little heavy to put back up into place. It definitely needed to be done looking at old coalessor element. Item arived quickly and on time. Great price.

The written directions did not exactly match the parts in the kit.
The parts in the kit did not match the instructions exactly. The instruction's completely ignored the foam filter parts that were in the kit and when installed would be for keeping the pressure relief valve’s interior clean. In addition the instructions did not describe a much simpler method of removing the old pressure relief valve when its pointed at a solid part of the vehicle’s frame. A simpler method would be to rotate the dryer a small amount so that the relief valve could be removed rather than completely removing the dryer unit.

Exactly the right service kit for my Haldex air dryer on my Freightliner chassis motorhome.
Don't put off service to your motorhome air system. I loosened the large filter with a strap wrench then removed the entire dryer for service. I did not want to risk any dirt falling into the dryer. You can do this!
