QTX | FLARE-1000 Vertical LED Fog Machine | 1000W Fogger with DMX & RF Remote Control, RGB Lighting Effects for Stage, DJ, Parties, and Events

Was looking for a smoke/fog machine that wouldn't break the bank and had 1 key feature for me being DMX control and this was the only one I found that ticked both boxes. I currently use QTX lights on my setup already and knowing the quality of there gear its affordable, well built and doesn't feel cheap or that it will fall in a months time. The setup is easy and quick with the included instructions giving you enough information to get up and running and also a convenient list of there fog/haze fluids and the details of them in the back. It isn't the quietist as the fluid pump is audible and you can hear when it runs. Control wise is quite simple as you have the included remote fob with 4 options on it (red/blue/green with fog and just fog no lights) so you can get going for a basic setup in no time or you can hook it up to a lighting desk or show control software using the 3 pin DMX connection on the back giving you control of fog, red , green, blue light intensity, Strobe/flashing speed, program control (what effect is running (colour scroll, switch or pulse) and the speed of the effect so if you are using this with other gear you will need 7 channels available to use. The output is great and will fill a small venue (village hall or stage area) in 2-3 minutes and depending on the fluid you use it can stay there for a while. It is about the size of an A3 sheet of paper in the box and also comes with both UK and EU (shuko) power cables. So if your a small community theatre group or someone who likes putting on shows for kids this would be a great option if you are controlling all your gear from a desk or just need a standalone unit.

It's ok for a small room... but does look impressive when shooting vertically.
