Marie Antoinette (pair) Earring by Alchemy Gothic, England

Was worried it was going to be a knockoff product but it was the real Alchemy Goth design & my friend was happy with her gift. Was great last minute gift for a really great friend.

Both of the red gems were off and floating in the baggy. I have super glue gel so I was able to repair them quickly but for more than $30, I shouldn’t be purchasing a craft project. The backing of the posts seem to be a very cheap metalish stuff. I thought the description said these had plastic or nylon backs, but I could very well be wrong about that. No worries there. I have a bunch of plastic replacement backs. The earrings themselves are adorable and seem to be good quality. They just need to up the quality to match on gem attachment and earring backs.

I've had these earrings for about half a year at this point and I can say they're great save for one flaw. The gems come out! That being said they survived a flight to Japan from west coast America, half a month abroad, the flight back, and then some time here in the states. The weather heating up seemed to be the issue! Would recommend removing them and putting them in with some more solid glue than what the manufacturers did or simply painting the drops red, which is what I plan to do as I noticed a gem was missing when I got home one day. Other than that they're phenominal and I receive lots of compliments about these earrings.

i read about the 'gem' problem on the reviews but i bought them anyway. one earring arrived without a 'gem.' beware, i returned them

Love these! The filigree on the earlobe, the stark contrast of the red drops on the blade...glamorous and sinister at the same time.
