StarlightsRSL-2000 Exterior Replacement Round Scare Light Fixture

Looks very nice and not hard to install.However instructions provide no caulking or water proofing instructions. I noticed the outer plastic ring/surround included a groove/recess so I added silicone caulk to that to better seal it against the RV wall. The original fixture had a thick layer of Butyl rubber/caulk between the RV wall and the fixture along with a gasket behind the lens, which this Fixture apparently does not need.Design wise, the 4 very tiny screws that hold the lens on the base and must be removed to change the bulb are too tiny to be practical, and only one of 3 different small Phillips head screwdrivers I had would actually turn them. Don't look forward to having to remove and replace them when bulb replacement becomes necessary (and which screwdriver actually works!).As much as Starlights promote LED Bulbs, why don't they just ID which LED bulb replaces the Auto 1156 directly?But I will buy another to replace the other rusted / yellowed Scare Light on my RV.

This exactly replaced the old outdoor lights on our RV , works well, is well made and was relatively easy to install. The problem is that the description is inaccurate and the manual is skimpy and confusing. This is NOT a scare light which costs twice a much and has a motion-sensing device. It is just an outdoor rv light replacement. The manual referred to setting the sensitivity of the motion-detector. There really wasn't any mention of the base unit I bought. The last paragraph refers to the 2000 and 1000 series lights which, in the absence of a diagram of either, left me in the dark. I contacted the designer/manufacturer/company owner who emailed back immediately what unit I had which was much appreciated. Again, good product, but the package and manual need to be clearer.

Received my light today. I am not happy. When I read the specs on the light it stated LED. However this is NOT a LED.Also, they solved the problem of confusing directions. Mine came with NO directions. Also it is supposed to direct the light down, but how do I know which way to mount it????

Got it when they said I would, good price, product was just what I needed.I would buy from this supplier again.
