Great Sentence Writing Activity
These are great to use for sentence-building or sentence-scramble activities! I’m using them in my special ed class and I’m thrilled with the results! I’m impressed with my students’ creativity. I don’t think they could come up with the sentences on their own, but when they have choices in front of them, they are able to put the words together in ways I hadn’t thought of! I love these magnets!

Great Fun for Early Readers
This Magnetic Poetry Set made a fine stocking stuffer for my soon-to-be five year old daughter. She has just started reading on her own, and has developed an interest in spelling. These words give her great exposure to both. They are all quite simple, and almost below her reading level. However, this works out well as she doesn't have to concentrate too hard on any one word. Instead, she can go up to the refrigerator and make up all manner of silly sentences and sentence fragments and giggle maniacally with her two year old sister, who can't read, but loves having big sis read to her. We've also practiced searching for words to describe various stretches of our Frigits marble run, (fast, slow, green, and for the final marble capture, the phrase 'going home' etc.) which is kind of a cool dual use for these. As a young adult, I always had the adult variation of Magnetic Poetry on the fridge, and it's a thrill to pass the fun on to my kids. Parents who are familiar with the adult version, will be thankful that the words were chosen wisely for this introductory set. And so it appears, thus far, to be virtually impossible to make near-offensive or vulgar sentiments (the only noun that's gotten a lot of play that way is 'nose' because you can make all kids of booger-related references by using the word nose, which is just kid-level silliness).All-around, I'm totally pleased with this one, and would highly recommend as an extra tool to make reading more fun for kids. I think it's definitely had that effect for my daughter.Country of origin = China.

great learn to read tool
We used this kit for helping my son learn to read. We started with one word on the board. As he memorized the words, we added them one at a time. After a while, we were able to add words more quickly. When he had lots of words memorized, we started making silly sentences for him to read. Sometimes he makes them for me and sometimes I make them for him. The words are larger and easier to move that the regular magnetic poetry set, but the selection is limited. The kit does not include color names (which we really missed; we made our own magnets for those). Great for beginners. To make really fun poetry, you'll want to move on to the regular kit.

Great product.
Well worth the money. The box is small and can be easily stored. The magnets come in sheets, and you break them up and apart to separate them. I like that they came in sheets rather than already being separate because it allowed me to easily group the words into parts of speech.Because the magnets are small, they can be easily lost. May I suggest clipping or rubber banding your groups together and storing them in the box, or simply storing them in the box. Also, instead of using them on your fridge, buy yourself a cookie sheet that's used specifically for these magnets for quick play on the carpet with your child. You could ever buy two sheets and store the magnets on one sheet for easy clean up and for easy picking and use the blank sheet to form words and sentences.Have fun with these!

Durable and easy to read
Purchased these for my 4-year-old to use on the fridge. So far they are working out well. They are magnetic enough to stay but thick enough for her small fingers to pull off and reapply. I was impressed by the number of words included in the box but I still thought the price was a bit high for what you get. These should sell for $9.99, not nearly $20. Price aside, they are well made and she enjoys them.

Good quality, very limited vocabulary.
These were exactly as advertised and are a good quality. However I regret this purchase, as the set is almost immediately missing sight words my kid’s class is covering in kindergarten. I wish I had purchased the standard 0.375” size, and not this larger 0.75”, as I feel combining the two heights will be problematic for an early reader. In retrospect, the smaller magnet size would not have been a problem - and actually, we’d have more room on this cookie sheet to make sentences!
