ALEX Toys Little Hands Cupcake Craft

There are 8 crafts in this box. There are 3 little poster board little cupcake fairies to dress up with 53 cupcake liners, 172 stickers and accessories such as the crowns and wands. It has a snail and flower to design and then there is the crown to make and decorate for your little one and includes everything to do the crafts including the glue stick. It comes with picture instructions so it's even easy for kids to do them without adult supervision. I know this is probably designed for little girls but when my 5yr old boy begged - he got it and has been having a blast with it. I have reviewed quite a few of Alex brand craft boxes and this one is just as fun as the others. Alex does a great job coming up with really cute crafts. My only complaint is that I wish there were more crafts in the box! But this would be really cute and fun for a little girls sleep over party!

This is one of our favorite Alex craft sets. I've ordered one for each of the grandkids. It's easy for them to do themselves and they love the results. Reducing the number of stars because the last one that I ordered didn't come with a glue stick. The box was sealed, so it isn't the shipper's fault, but it caused some disappointment until we were able to go to the store to replace the glue stick.

Great activity set for my 4 & 7 olds that was 1) well priced 2) easy to do. My kids are very crafty. We have tried a lot of Melissa and Doug and Alex kids craft sets (and Oriental Trading ones too) that we bought on Amazon. This set is one of my favorites. First of all, the kids could do the projects independently. They were easy enough that the kids didn't struggle and the end results resembled the example. My kids can get frustrated when their version of a craft turns out much 'uglier' than the sample version. My daughter took the paper fairies and incorporated them in her play for about a week after making them. She's never done this with more traditional paper dolls. Also, the use of cupcake liners was really creative and resonated with kids who enjoy cooking (and eating) cupcakes. In sum, I would buy the ALEX Toys Little Hands Cupcake Craft again and also buy it for a gift (it has a nice box presentation).

I ordered this on a gold box deal at half price and I'm still disappointed. The ratio of cardboard dolls and decorative materials is totally out of proportion. This was a gift for my granddaughters ages two and four. When they opened it I was amazed to see enough cupcake liners to decorate more than a dozen dolls lavishly, but only three dolls included. There were other decorative items, too, that were cute and of the quality I expect from ALEX. Their mother is very creative, I'm sure she'll repurpose the materials to good use, but really, this set is ridiculous. Alex would be far better off to charge more and include at least a dozen dolls to decorate or reduce the decorations and lower the price.On the same gold box deal I ordered the Alex large variety box of crafts and it is fantastic. I will be writing it a glowing five-star review. I gave Cupcake Craft box three stars because the materials are high quality, but unless you have a source for additional cutouts to decorate or you want some expensive cupcake liners, I would not recommend this craft package to anyone.

This was very fun and cute. I will say this the glue they sent was the first time it worked on this stuff usually it never stays together so I was really happy about that But everything else was awesome.

This was given as a gift to two girls, 5 and 7. They both like doing crafts. It seems it was a good choice. They enjoyed the doing the projects and have them proudly displayed on a wall. We did take other reviewers advice and provide a separate bottle of white glue. It seemed to help make the items easier to make. They did these projects with very little help, though the seven year old did help the five year old. The paper plate bugs, which were given at the same time, will get the same review. Their mother said they have received other Alex crafts and enjoyed doing those also.

My three year old daughter loves to make projects. The Alex kits are a big hit at our house because they are cute and ready to go right out of the box. They are perfect to have on hand to make a project without lots of prep work.We had a little time on our hands so just picked out the pieces to make a cupcake wrapper flower from this box and my daughter had fun designing and constructing it all by herself (with my happy encouragement by her side). The flower she made is adorable, and was a nice quick and sweet project for us to do together after school/work.I'm looking forward to making the other projects with her from this kit and from our other Alex kits. I would recommend checking out Alex activity kits to all parents who want to encourage their child's creativity.

This was a hit with my three year old! It makes one crown, one butterfly, three fairies, and three flowers. She could do the fairies and the flowers without much assistance, but I had to help her with the crown and butterfly.The cardstock and stickers for each project are separated in the box; the cupcake liners are not. The glue stick that this comes with is quite large and works well- it's the kind that goes on purple, but dries clear. After all projects were done, we had most of the glue stick left, a lot of stickers, and a few cupcake liners.Overall, this was a fun craft for my three year old. Highly recommend.
