The FR (Front Race) was designed with the help of World Cup and Enduro World Series riders during 2014. Weighing in at only 80g but measuring 450mm in length the FR provides awesome mud/spray stopping performance without breaking the bank. From the likes of tomorrow’s champs in the Rippers category to 2015 World Champion Loic Bruni, along with team mate Finn Iles, 2016 Junior World Champ, who choose to use the FR when the conditions require maximum mud protection. With various holes for fitting to different fork braces, the Fr Hugger is suitable for all wheel sizes, 26er 650B and 29er wheel. It also works on Plus wheels with tires up to 3 inches wide in a ‘Boost’ fork.

Just ok
The product installed as directed however the price paid for a molded plastic fender with zip ties as connectors is not worth it. My lower legs and the down-tube were just as muddy and wet as before. Aesthetically, the fender's bulk and shape are not a look I want.

Great Fit!
They were a great addition to my Levo. Used a front fender on the rear also and works perfectly!

Poor quality
Not as pictured , not high quality .

Buy it
I have a pile of fenders from multiple manufacturers. This is one mounts low enough to actually look decent (for a fender). It is also the only fender long enough to protect the frame and not bounce against the tire with any decent hits.

Take your time install it right
The looks are great and awsome function

Too small for 29" wheel IMO, not enough clearance.
I think this just doesn't have enough clearance for a Minion 29" DHF tire and wheel. I tried to attach it but barely any clearance and decided it was not a good match for a 29" wheel. Maybe it's OK with 27.5".

Mudhugger
I looked at a number of mudguards for my Giant Dirt E+2, which has Maxxis Ardent 27.5-2.4 tyres. Didn't much like the usual hang off the seat post crud catcher types , plus I had a rear rack to install. So gambled and went with Mudhugger Front and Rear mudguards. Absolutely delighted and so easy to install. The front guard needed to be heated up ( hairdryer or heat gun ) to mould to the front forks, but other than that they look fantastic.Been trail blazing in the mud rain and gravel and they 're brill.would definitely recommend them.

Value for money?
Bought this mudguard with a view to fixing it to my Girvin Vector forks with v-brakes. Suffice to say, it doesn't fit. There is not enough clearance between the bottom suspension bracket and the brake cabling to fit the guard. I'll likely 3D print some quadrant 'brackets' to install the guard which I need on my bike. As for the design-v-price, it's a joke. I appreciate large injection mould tools are jolly expensive to machine and these guards are obviously not what could be classed as mass production, but over £20 for a flimsy piece of plastic weighing just 87g is outrageous.

Overpriced, better options out there.
I bought the front and rear mudguard for my eMTB.They are fairly easy to install but require cable ties which look ugly and can damage paintwork. You may need to modify for brake/gear cablesOverall don’t look too bad.The front guard is too short but this rear one does keep most of the water and mud off the rider. They sit too close to the wheel for muddy conditions and everything gets clogged up fastOverall I prefer the Zefal offering I installed on my other bike; scores better on price, installation, looks and functionality(Copied from my Mudhugger rear mudguard review)

Burly and effective
Not really a fan of mudguards but this thing is brilliant. Looks ok too. Nice and burly. It isn’t chairlift (portes du soleil) compatible sadly as it gets caught in the wheel mechanism. If it gets bent up just pour hot water on it and it pops right back.I wish they’d supply you with anti scuff tape for your forks. Every single zip tie guard always scratches the hell out of them.Running on 29 x 2.5 wt with decent clearance.

Not stopping the spray.
I'm disappointed with this front mudguard. I had bought a Mudhugger 29er rear mudguard https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075GQRWN9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which is superb in keeping all the mud off my back and for which I left a 5 star review. Unfortunately, this front mudguard doesn’t stop the spray from my frame and legs, I bought the extender, but that didn’t make much difference. The problem is that on my bike, which is a Voodoo Bizango E, this mudguard is too close fitting and the spray is thrown up the outside of the mudguard istead of passing underneath. It’s possible that fitting on other bikes may allow a wider gap.
