This thing is awesome! It secures to your car seats similar to the way an infant carseat would, and is far and away the best designed, safest, and most comfortable carseat you'll find for small dogs!Nike can sit up and ride like a big dog. He can ride paws up, toward the window, feeling the wind in his fur - but with no risk of jumping or falling out! He can lie down, stretch out, and relax... or curl up in his travel bed - which fits cozily inside... and he can do all this w/his harness securely tethered to the carseat/carrier.Thank dog I don't have to worry he'll go flying out the window in a wreck anymore... or that he'll cause one by distracting me while I'm driving with his antics.It has strong zipper openings and durable mesh windows on all sides, so he never feels too confined, or too exposed. The inside is plush and cozy, and he loves to be inside it - and the insert that lines it is machine washable to boot!The color is lovely and neutral w/o being boring or blah. A dark heather grey w/slate blue piping, on a black frame, w/lux taupe sherpa padded insert, and tasteful light green reflector strips. My pics in the dark don't do it justice.If I have one gripe it's the same as other reviewers; the plush mat should button to the expandable sides, not the top of the bag. That's weird, and it took me a min to figure out bc it's so counterintuitive. I suppose it may help to sturdy the frame of the bag for airline travel? In any case, I took others' advice and used double sided velcro strips to secure the mat to the expandable sides for my convenience.I bought this mainly for a car seat, but now will be using it to travel on our Xmas trip, and may even switch to it for crate training my 4 mo old 8lb chi-corgi puppy - since he likes it so much better than his crate. For reference, he could easily double in size, to 16lbs and still fit like a pearl into this carrier.I got mine shipped from Amazon as used/like new for something like $26. WELL worth it! It must've been a return. Their loss, my gain! It arrived in one day via prime looking just like new. We are super happy with it!

once open this thing is great. but while walking and sides not expanded it is very cramped for animal because the sides fall into the center of carrier cramping the animal. it has two snap buttons that are supposed to hold up the furry mat and mesh compartments. Mine was missing the Velcro part in the center to help hold this up . I am returning for a replacement . so very comfortable for pet when expanded and not so much zippered up. Best thing once in a plane I suppose.

The only problem I have is on the inside there's a snap on both sides that hold up the material for when you carry it. Well my snaps didn't de-snap which I found weird so needless to say it tore or the material wouldn't lay down so my dog could run around in it.

Lol.. 4hr ride.. wanted out but I was afraid she'd get stuck. She could spread out & turn around.. easy to close & carry. Being soft fabric is a nice plus. She slept in it at destination. I plan on getting another for my home.

I love almost everything about this carrier. The only problem is that the mat does not clip onto the wall of the carrier, it clips onto the roof. So if you want to unzip the carrier and zip it back up, you would have to open the carrier and clip the mat or else it will fall into your pet. I can luckily fix this with some double sided tape but this is a design flaw. Makes me think whoever made it didn’t actually try using it with a pet.

My cat enjoys her new cat carrier, especially as she can see out all 4 sides. We've taken her with us to cafes with outside seating where she can watch everything. It's attractive and well constructed. I particularly like the fleece mat that comes with it. My cat has short legs and only weighs 9 lbs, so be sure to get the size that's best for your pet.

This carrier is perfect for my 2 cats to travel by car from Georgia to Massachusetts. Plenty of room and the mat is so soft. Love it!
