High quality real savon de Marseille
I’ve been using this soap for 2 years. It’s excellent to remove stubborn stains. Only very few resist. A cube lasts a long time.

First off, this is 100% legit savon de Marseille -- Marius Fabre is one of the remaining authentic olive oil soap makers. It's worth noting that this is quite a hunk of soap. It might be a bit unwieldy for someone with small hands, and no one would want to drop it on their foot during a shower. I appreciate the moisturizing and cleansing qualities of the soap along with the absence of additives. By the same token, there's no fruity, floral, or sweet scent here; hard to describe but perhaps I'd call it "earthy" (and assertively so). Great stuff but at the far opposite end of the spectrum from mass market, perfumed and chemical-infused bars.

Love it!
Great soap that does not leave any smell on your skin once you are out of the shower. Makes my skin soft and moisturized.

Beautiful, stinky, damaged
I feel so many different things about this soap. Haha! It’s beautiful, but mine arrived very dusty and damaged..not super happy about this. The smell of this soap is super hard to explain…powerful…almost chemical. Not earthy. I like earthy…this is beyond earthy! I haven’t used it yet and I have high hopes for its cleansing abilities. If it wasn’t fancy French soap I’d probably be more peeved but that’s just my personality, I like unique pretty things especially if they are made in France.

Best soap
Smells great, very soft to your hands, super natural. Can’t seen my self using liquid detergent again. And cleans very well.

very rustic soap
I purchased this soap as it comes from one of the oldest soap factories in France. The positive- it lathers very well. Another positive, the blocks are very large and will last a long time. The negative, (3 star), it smells like old oil, but that dissipates several minutes after using.I cannot get over how French Savon de Marseille olive oil soap bars smell, as this one is not my first brand from that area of France.I compared it with another brand, of the 4 remaining French factories making making Marseille soap. Both this and the other brand have "old engine oil" smell, so it is not for me.The fragrance makes Savon de Marseille soap not a choice for me, but perhaps for someone else it may not be a bother.

The Real Deal: Savon de Marseille
I’ve been loving Savon de Marseille for years since visiting relatives in France. This soap is so versatile, covers so many washing chores: laundry, spot removal, dishes and hands. I keep a block at the kitchen sink to wash my hands. The soap is gentle, not drying, fragrance free. One bar lasts forever. Google savon de marseille to read about how pure and useful the soap is. There are lots of knock-offs but this is a true Savon de Marseille.
