As pictured
It was pretty easy to put together despite no labels. It did come with instructions and 1 extra of everything. I got this to take my bird with me while I'm outside tending to my garden. I needed something sturdy to protect him from my cat's and my dog. I have a globe backpack but it was just too hot even with a fan. This allows him air flow when it's there. It's the size expected. Seems sturdy other that the tray is plastic. It has to be standing on its legs or it's sitting on the tray which would potentially break the tray. It is kinda heavy for me but I'm not very strong. It's easy to clean. The latch doesn't cover my tray though so if you're not paying attention when you move it the tray will slide right out. It's kinda pricey so I'm hoping it lasts and doesn't rust. But my bird seems to like it more than the backpack.

Sturdy, Well Made, Great Fit/Finish and Size! Nice Grey Hammertone Finish. What More Could You Ask?
This is a great little cage for transporting your birds. It's not big enough to transport a full sized Cockatoo or Macaw, but for smaller birds, it's perfect. I have a Sun Conure and it's just right for transport or to stay in for a few days at a friends if I need to go out of town. Very sturdy and easy to put together. I saw some reviews that stated parts didn't line up and was hard to assemble. Not true for me. It even included an extra screw for each of the three types/sizes of screws included! (how many times have you been shorted on screws or parts for "put it together yourself" products. What a refreshing change!) Directions were clear and easy to follow, although the print was a bit small. This cage would be easy to take down for storage and put back together as it uses "keyhole slots" for some of the screw installation. By taking out only the two screws that hold the top perch in place, you can take it apart for storage. Pretty slick! Don't think that it's held together by those two screws only, as the keyhole slots and the fit make it very stable and sturdy. It's not super light, but still easy to carry. I'd probably put a screw in the ends of the wood perch to make it non-removeable by a skillful bird and to keep it from falling off while carrying or traveling as it just sits on metal tabs with slots in the end of the wood perch. (this was suggested by another reviewer and I agree)On bird size and transport... One of the pics I saw included a miniaturized picture of a Blue and Gold Macaw in the cage.... Not Happening! You could transport a full sized Cockatoo if needed to another location or vet and that would work fine, but not to stay in, even for a night. A couple of conures, budgies, lovebirds, etc... would work fine in this cage for temporary use.

Roomy Cage That Doubles as a Carrier
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This cage is spacious enough for my bird to feel comfortable, but also works well as a carrier when needed. The construction feels sturdy, though it does have some weight to it, so it’s not the easiest to move around. Overall, it’s a practical option if you want something roomy that you can still transport when necessary.

Nice cage, but has its faults. Not a deal breaker though.
Where do I start. Well, first let me say I actually do really like this cage, but there are some faults as well.Pros-it looks nice, my green cheek conure seems to like it, and seems pretty sturdy. It seems like it will be easy to clean. A nice size for travel or for a sleep cage. I think this cage will be perfect for when I travel for a few days to family’s house and want to take my guy with me. I think it will also work well for outside to get some fresh air. I feel like it’s sturdy enough that the normal predators wouldn’t be able to get to my bird.ConsWas a little difficult to put together, watching the videos did help-actually a must. The instructions that come with it are pretty difficult to follow and are incorrect on which bolts to put where. Also since I put the wrong bolt in first. I still haven’t been able to get the wrong one out so that I can put the correct one in. On the side I got the correct one in, it’s still not wanting to screw all the way in. It is quite heavy, so I wouldn’t say it would be convenient for a quick trip to the vet, but would work great if you were traveling and needed a cage for a few days. Obviously not large enough for long term use. I also own a parakeet/budgie, and I feel like the bar spacing and other gaps may be a little large for him even though it’s described as being for those little guys as well. The Vivo Home sign on the front was actually a hazard for us. While putting together I grabbed the door and actually cut my thumb pretty good on it. Glad I found it and not by bird. This was fixed easily enough with a file, but definitely check. It sliced me right open and I don’t want to think of the damage it could have caused to my birds foot. All in all, for the price, and what you get, I can’t say I’m unhappy, but these are things I would want to know prior to purchase. I would definitely buy again, and if the bar spacing and gaps weren’t quite as big, I would be purchasing one for my parakeet as well, but since that’s not the case, I will need to find an alternate solution for him.

Sturdy cage. Perfect for a Amazon or African Grey size bird.
It is simple to put together and at first seems flimsy until it is assembled. Once it is assembled it holds together very sturdy. I really think we will love traveling with this new cage. I may even consider taking him out when I garden in it. I found this on sale because it was bought as a *good* previously purchased and returned cage with box damage only. The only qualm I had with it is the tray which is barely heavier than Styrofoam and was recieved cracked on one side. I can easily mend it or replace it so I am not taking off for the review. I thought the price was high but after shopping around this is the best cage for the price. The worst thing about this particular cage for me is the weight. It is heavy for me empty but I will manage. I am disabled. It would not be comfortable sitting in a lap but has its own place for a seat belt. I would not want to have to carry it very far even if I was healthy and able. If you need that, get a bag or a different cage. Previously I had a backpack but he ate through the zipper and grommets and mesh. I needed something Amazon parrot proof. This seems to be perfect!
