These are a lot paler and somewhat more rustic than I expected, but they satisfy my need for small skewers to use with an appetizer tray. You can also use them for a disposal skewer to use for cocktail garnishes -- olives for martinis, cherries for Manhattans, limes for bloody marys. The shafts are flat, not round, which minimizes the chances of breaking apart a small piece of food. I like the twist of bamboo at the ends for something fancier than ordinary toothpicks. The usable skewer portion measures 3 1/4", although I wouldn't count on using more than 3" of the skewer to keep it free of the twist.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

These skewers did the job - I used them to present caprese salads and prosciutto and melon skewers. They look really nice and are the perfect size to load up with generous bites. That said, many of the skewers in my package had bad splinters and/or the top knot had come undone. I'd say about 10-15 were not usable for those reasons. Otherwise, it was a successful purchase.

These served their purpose very well. I was a little concerned when I pulled them out of the package and immediately noticed a few splinters here and there, as other reviewers have mentioned. However, no one complained of any problems with them. I even ran my finger up several of them to make sure I wouldn't injure my guests before I used them, and it seems like the few splinters there are are too flexible to do any damage, so I think that they are completely safe. I did get several comments on how pretty my appetizers were on these fancy but simple little sticks!

Use these decorative skewers for my appetizer trays. Great for olives, small cubed cheeses and such. These are a real bargain. Recently bought the 6” skewers from Sur La Tab which were very expensive. I like the 4” better as easier for my guests to handle. Great price and same quality as the really expensive ones.

I have hunted for these for quite a while, saved some from drinks purchased at bars . but could never find where to purchase. finally saw these on amazon. put a couple of olives on them for your Martini and they are great.

These were alright ! They looked great, about a 1/4 of the pack were all splintery and the sticks I prepped out the night before for the party with some apps kinda made the sticks soft. Over all they did the job! And looked good. Just glad I didn't need to use the whole pack due to lots of splinter.

These were great for the buffet table we set up. A little long for some of our finger sandwiches but perfect for full sized sandwiches on a bun. Also used them on charcuterie boards. Very cute.

These are great for martini olives or other drink garnishes. We've also used them for small hors d'oeuvres. They have a nice point. The tied end makes a good grip, and the picks don't splinter.I like the idea of using highly renewable bamboo rather than adding to the plastic pollution problem or wasting wood on cocktail picks.
