Clear as Glass: A Mother's Journey of Letting Go

I read this book in one day. I couldn't put it down. I know that the author's emphasis was was her son's mental illness and death, and the book is very very valuable for those insights. But what I found most memorable was the effect of her alcoholic parents on their children's lives. I want to give a copy of this book to every selfish, self-absorbed parent who should NOT be a parent and tell them to read it to see how their kids' lives are going to look in a decade or two if the parents don't turn things around. The book is heartbreaking, but it is also a wonderful testimony of God's ability to turn lives around.

Once I started I could not put it down! This is a story of pain, loss of childhood innocence at the hands of the people a child should be able to trust the most and the resilience to do better for her own son and the challenges they faced together. The honesty is something not often seen today. l loved how through her journey she kept seeing God working in her life and trusting Him more and more. The beginning was trust broken and through a sobering journey of the authors life, it 's about building TRUST!!!!!

Once I started reading I could not put the book down until I finished. WOW what a life she had. She has come so far in life after what she went through. It is a honor to know her and I wish her all the best going forward. xoxo

I just finished reading Clear As Glass. Whew. What a story! I was drawn in from page one. A painful childhood is something most of us can relate to. How unresolved pain comes back to haunt us in the trials of the present is Karen's story of pain, love, and redemption. You won't be able to put it down. You'll find yourself thinking about it days after you've finished. Read this book!

I personally know the author. She is a kind, funny and stylish woman. She can move mountains. I'm blessed to know her.

Clear as Glass is an autobiography that takes you through the author’s life, and makes you feel you are right there with her! Faced with many trials and tribulations, including a parent’s worse nightmare of losing a child, she strengthens her faith, and comes out stronger than before. A must read.

An amazing read! I read the book in one day-could not put it down! A compelling, thoughtful and purely honest story of a mother and son's road to wellness. I love how they actually grew up together and became whole together, saving each other. I have purchased books for friends and family and will tell everyone-you must read this book!

This is a well written story about overcoming a tough childhood, becoming a mother at any early age and losing a child. Very inspiring story of a strong woman's journey and her relationship with God. Highly recommend!
