High quality stuff
If you want to imitate the guy on the youtube video clamping a barbed fitting into a vice and using a 2x4 to hammer a hose onto it then you will be disappointed. Under that finished collar is a tapered snout that threads into the hose. You will need two wrenches to seat the hose fully but you can leave the wood for someone else to muscle with.The Russell hose that this mates with is a bit tricky to cut, but very easy to put on for a high pressure, leak proof assembly. Cut the hose with a abrasive saw or hack saw, unthread the collar then left-hand thread that onto the hose OD, apply lubricant to the hose ID then right-hand thread the fitting into the hose ID until it is fully seated. Make sure to clean out the assembled hose as the hose cuttings tend to end up inside of it. The instructions call for a special lube but I used WD-40 and it works fine.Use a tube or box wrench on these and you won't harm the anodized finish. It doesn't take a lot of torque for a leak proof connection. And they can be re-used for different length hoses and reassembled multiple times.

When it comes to AN fittings, ONLY use Russel. I use only Russel fittings on my highly modified 2017 Subaru STI. They are the only fittings to even consider. Yes they cost a little more than others out there, but when your talking fittings, flammable liquids, and expensive toys... USE RUSSELL
