Good for a young toddler
I first ordered this mat for Christmas for my 19 month old. It came with the plastic piece (where the batteries and volume are) broken. It worked here and there, so I ended up returning it. The second item I received was definitely much better, without batteries, which leads me to believe I received a used item the first time around, which was not only used but also broken.The mat itself is small, even to my young toddler and doesn't stay in place, so she keeps bunching it up, trips and falls. I have to hold her hands in order for her to be able to step on it.Definitely would be looking for a different mat.

Great toy for a variety of ages!
This is a great toy! My two year old loves the music and you can change it to different modes- like animal sounds. I also use it for tummy time for my 5 month old and he loves it too. Very entertaining for him and gets him to try to reach for the different keys to hear the various sounds.

I purchased this for my almost 2 year old grand baby who was born as a micro-preemie and still trying to catch up. I thought it would be great for his coordination and scensories, but the mat is very difficult to keep down without moving around.

In the description it says for ages 1-3 but when it arrived the box says 3+ and I purchased for my 1 year old grandson. So Im disappointed.
