I purchased at $5.97. However, at ~$10, this is a satisfactory purchase, nothing more or less.ParacordThe product appears to be authentic Type III cord (550), but also appears to be old stock, as the finish feels a little rough and dusty, so use caution when weight loading this.Fire StrikerBe advised, this is worth roughly what was paid for it. It is NOT a solid ferro rod, like other fire strikers. It IS an aluminum rod, with a small diameter Zippo flint type and sized striker rod, the length of the larger aluminum rod. Two strikes noticeably eroded the striker. As an emergency tool, its probably acceptable, but dont expect more than a few aggressive uses. If you need a general use item, pay the $7 - $10 for a good quality, rugged use striker - this one will NOT last.UPDATE:It has come to my attention that the larger rod, is indeed MAGNESIUM. Attempts to ignite shavings failed, so I assumed it to be aluminum. However, once the ferro rod wore down such that a stroke scrapes both the ferro rod and magnesium rod simultaneously, it does ignite fairly well. That said, the striker rod wore down to about 50℅ with appx 20 aggressive strokes. So, while it now works much better, it still has a very limited life. It remains an emergency firestarter and unsuitable for durable use, but in an emergency, it WILL make fire!

Its a good strong usable paracord. The diameter is a tad smaller than most other brands I've gotten, so when you pair it up with another color, the size is a little noticeable. The fishing line in the core is pretty cool, and its a pretty thin line, like a 5 lb test or so, good for smaller fish, maybe trout. I haven't tried the striker yet, but its a larger striker than I was expecting, with a metal rod with the striker flint inset on one side of the metal rod. The hole rid isn't a striker. The green paracord is a darker green, almost looking blackish in the right light. Overall, I like it.

The contained 10 lb mono line has already come in handy for lashing small bundles,The bonus fire starter doesn't spark easily or well. An interim email made reference to a cable saw (would be preferred) but I got he fire stick. Glad I have other starters.
