Good machine if you need the features it offers
I've had this unit for 2+ month and use it daily. So far I haven't had any of the issues the other reviews have had with the resistance. Overall, I'd say it's a solid machine and worth the price if you need it's specific feature set. That being the over long stride, heavy center base, and level resistance instead of incline based resistance.Pros:Best elliptical I've found for someone of my height (6'8). I can keep perfect form instead of hunching, like I have to on most machines.Stride extends to 26 inches without using incline. Most elliptical machines are from 19-23 inches tops.Solidly built. No wobbling or fear of damage to you or the machine. It's a tank. One of the few machines I've found that is comfortable for my size 14 feet. They don't hang off the side or the back of the pedal.Center drive system reduces the footprint by a lot.Cons:No built in fans, you'll need to get your own and find a way to adjust to your liking.Really is expensive vs going to a gym and using commercial grade equipment. Make sure you really need it.Decently quiet, but a few clicks, scrapes and the occasional knocking. Certainly quieter than anything NordicTrack or Sole has to offer, but still distracting. No incline, only resistance variation.Overall, I'm happy with this investment in my health.

Stay Away from this Brand
I bought a True ES700 Elliptical from local dealer and it started having issues after one month. First it had clicking noise from left stride whenever I used it. After I had services come out, they told me I need replace some belt in the left stride. So we replaced the belt. Then after several months, I had this "Stride Motor 1 Error" message came up. So I contacted True Fitness. They told me that we need replace the left stride motor. So we had services come out and replaced both stride motors. Then after two weeks, I had "Stride Motor 2 Error" came up. I takled to True Fitness again and was told they will ship out the parts that need to fix this issue. A week later, the services guy came and replaced the parts following True Finess's instruction on the phone and the error message was still there! Now they are talking to replace all the electrical parts inside this machine. This is crazy! I only had this machine for little over a year and I spent more time to fix it than enjoying it. I called True Finess and asked them for either a replacement or a refund. They told me that they can not do that and I need talk to the dealer! The services technician told me that this type of issue occurs a lot with True Fitness Ellipticals. My advice to you all is to stay away from this barnd for ellipticals. Apparently they have some serious flaw with their elliptical design that causes this problem and they even don't know how to fix it. And at the same time I am still waiting to see when somebody will be able to figure out how to fix my machine... Very disppointed! this type of garbbage should never deserve this price!

Full body workout
This machine is stable, smooth and solid. I wanted an elliptical to train on that would give me a truly challenging workout and this delivered. What I really like about this brand is the sides where you can stand when you just want to use your arms and not your lower body. You can really crank away for an upper body and core focused workout. The cardio 360 program guides you through the workout telling you different body positions and stances to use. I got this from a dealer and received excellent service with zero issues after installation. Well pleased!!

You’ll keep paying for repairs
Don’t purchase unless you want to keep replacing the Stride Motor (and there are 2 of them). While it’s under warrantee it’s an inconvenience... once it expires, it’s costly. Have had it repaired 3 times (currently have the same issue) Entire unit was replaced when first purchased. We upgraded the top model because I wanted something that would last but have paid for the machine twice.

Great product!
What a great machine! I'm sorry the previous reviewer didn't have a good experience. Maybe they got a "lemon" or something because I can't say enough about this product. The adjustable stride is great and very accommodating for different sized (height) people using it.The quality of the machine is very high and my experience with True's customer service has been top notch.I highly recommend this product to others!

STAY AWAY FROM TRUE!!!
Just like other reviews, after several months the left motor seems to be locking up. Clearly, they KNOW this is a problem and have not fixed it. I would imagine they're using the same motors as replacements so until they start using QUALITY parts, expect your investment to be an expensive brick.

Disappointed since my purchase new.
I have a True Elliptical that I spent approx 5k for several years ago - not from Amazon- but a local dealer. The elliptical is plagued by stride motor and motor resist errors from almost the day of purchase. It is down now with a motor resist error. It has been repaired and serviced and then it happens again. The manual is useless for diagnosing or attempting a reset or repair of any sort. We take care of all our equipment and my wife and I are the only users. We thought we were buying a quality piece of fitness equipment but have been completely dissapointed with this. I have entertained the thought of buying a new elliptical. However, if I do, it will probably not be a True.
