Just got it today and was so excited to try it out.I'm a wedding videographer and always love buying new gadgets. I buy this mainly compare to my Osmo Pocket because it's picture quality is not as good and gimbal movement is not always as I wanted. Since I already have a GoPro, I think I should use it on it's full potential, but it's lacking a gimbal, that's why I bought this one, I already have a Vimble C that's for my cellphone that works great, which I'm quite familiar with FeiYu gimbals, I also have a couple other DSLR and mirrorless gimbals by them as well.This one surpassed my expectation. It feels solid and works well. It's a gimbal so nothing really much to talk about but one thing I love the feature on this thing right out of the box was that the trigger was actually programmed to be a tilt and follow mode instead of locking mode on my other gimbal, which is really come in handy when you're in a tilt lock mode and you want to slightly follow your tilt and back to tilt lock, it works well, that way you don't really need the joystick, and your wrist is the best joystick since I find that I can't get my angle right with joystick with most or all of my gimbals.It also comes with a handy pouch which can store your gimbal along with the GoPro, as well as a mini tripod and cable, and a zipped compartment to store extra batteries, so that's all you need to haul around. So far so good.Hope this helps you fellow video enthusiasts.

The vimble 2A is fantastic and easy to use. I did overlook the fact that you need to buy the adapter for the HERO 8 separately from this gimbal. No worries though because I ordered it and received it within 2 days. Fits great but you can’t use the media mod to put the LED light while using the vimble. It’s a really tight fit.I also couldn’t find a way to connect the vimble to my GoPro so I could use the WiFi settings and control the camera with the vimble controls. It just doesn’t work/ connect on the Feiyu app. Maybe an update is needed? I tried the instructions given and have looked for videos. No luck.Regardless, throw vimble moves so smoothly. It’s easy to use and has everything you need. The grip is ergonomic and the motions are magical. It’s a great product with some needed tweaks but it has tremendous potential and a great buy for only $79.Definitely recommend if you’re on the hunt for a gimbal. Don’t forget that you need to buy the adapter separately if you have a HERO 8!EDIT: CORRECTIONI found the manner to connect the vimble to my hero 8. I opened the GoPro App, connected to control my GoPro and set preview to live. I then turned on the vimble 2A and opened the Feiyu app. Went through the connection process and was finally able to connect.

Right out of the box this item did not work at all. Shook my camera all over the pace and would not stay in position or do the job it was made to do.. stabilize. This is a complete disaster and I put it right back in the box and returned it for a refund. I’ll just buy an actual name brand that works like it’s suppose to.

I only gave it a 4 of 5 stars because it does work well most of the time. The unit will go into oscillation with any action cam lighter than a GoPro (which means most of the Inexpensive Action Cams which are a lesser Mass than GoPro.). It will usually go into oscillation when you are in motion and you pan the camera greater than 20 degrees. It is a firmware issue, but the oscillations can be stopped by applying light finger pressure to the gimbal axis/pivot. While it did impact the video a bit, it was easy to correct and most of the shot was okay.I used mine for video for a short documentary I am working on, and while the oscillation at times is a little annoying, it was easily corrected, and had I used one of the Gopros instead, the issue might never have been noticed. Video while holding it while walking with it was smooth, but you can tell I was walking by the slight undulation in the resulting video. It panned and tilted smoothly and quietly.

Very happy with this gimbal. I took it on a family vacation to Disney world and it performed flawlessly. I do not have a goPro, but used an Akaso action camera with it. This meant that I was not able to use all the onboard controls for the camera, but the gimbal controls worked great. I was able to get steady video when walking and even on moving rides. The battery life was good. The extendability is nice, especially when using in a crowd. I believe it to be a good value and will be using it more in the future. I recommend.

We haven’t used it extensively yet, but it seems to be good quality. We’ve been watching a TON of videos just to figure it out, especially the rotating time lapse feature. Very complicated and it doesn’t always work the way it says it should according to videos. Maybe it will get easier to use, hopefully.

So initially I thought to myself, do I really need a gimbal for a GoPro. GoPro is already super steady, due to the software it has to stabilize along with the camera. I thought I'll give this a try as I wanted a little more functionality and an extension rod. Once I received it, it was super easy to setup. Connect via Wifi and the app seemed to work really well. It took stabilization to a whole new level! the videos were even smoother than before, the extension rod is nice to have to get some unique angles and while I don't use the selfie mode, I can totally see that being a big feature for a lot of people. It took about 1.5 hours to fully charge and comes with a nice carrying pouch. They do have a GoPro Hero 8 adapter which you can get separately. To me it's totally worth the investment! I would highly recommend.

My problem is more with the app associated with the gimbal than the gimbal itself. The gimbal feature where you triple click the trigger to turn it to selfie mode does not work. The app requires to control the gimbal and connect the camera to the gimbal does not work. I am not able to connect the camera to the gimbal, the app will pair but will not control the gimbal, and finally the app frequently freezes and shows the loading icon.
