was really easy. time consuming but easy.
After researching several options on ceramic coatings i went with adams. the instructions are informative, and easy to understand. the prep spray is great, the silica spray i'm going to go out and rebuy- it is that amazing. i prepped my car before the coating, by washing it. then used the pre spray hours later in the garage after the car had dried. i worked one section at a time. i went slowly, the process with breaks took me about 3 hours. after i completed a section i would sit down, garages are hot. i let the coating cure for more than 24 hours. then i applied the silica spray and that stuff is amazing! while i had minor imperfections due to this being my first time using this product on a major scale, i also chose this product because i could use a polish and wax on top of the silica spray. (black light polish/ chemical guys and adams buttery wax) eliminated any noticeable issue i had. - though i only used this on my hood. everything else matches still and the look is like glass. i figured spray detailer could make it pop, but when i sprayed it on the side panels, it rolled right off so fast you could hear the plops hitting the concrete. for the side mirrors i used just the silica spray and buffed it out, the glass and rims i used the adams ceramic spray which is pink in color. though i used the applicator that came with this kit for ease of application for the windshield/ rims. all in all, it's time consuming. But! it's well worth the time spent. Notes:1.Plan on doing this when you have another car available to drive, let this product completely cure before applying any other product.2.Invest in adams towels for this procedure.3. take your time, it's not something you want to rush though.4. Paint was coated with this product only.5. Glass was coated with the thicker older ceramic spray.6. i Cerakoted my trim with the Cerakote trim kit. - i gave that review 2 stars. look elseware.7. i used a foam cannon with 1part dawn to two parts adams car shampoo in filtered water in the foam cannon to decontaminate the car.8. use the gloves so you do t get finger prints sealed in under your coating!

Ceramic coating
Very easy to apply and wipe off coating. Amazing protection and very hydrophobic! BUT it did not last long. It clames 5 years protection but it didn't last more than 6 months for me. During the summer it worked Amazing! Water flew off the car. Could dry my car with a leaf blower. But the harsh winters and ice storms and road salt definitely killed the coating. Following year when it was warm enough to clean the car again. I did as directed. Washed the car and Clayed the and reapplied the ceramic boost and it was nowhere near as hydrophobic as it was in the beginning. Hardly any water beading. Water was sheeting and flat and sticking to the car as if I never protected it. So for my experience it only good for 1 year and that's it. So I have mixed feeling for ya.If you want a good quick one year protection and don't really care about the condition of your cars paint and don't want to keep waxing the car then this a good product to have.If you're someone who loves haven your car in perfect condition then I wouldnt get this product.

It’s the real deal, but take your time for best results.
This ceramic is the real deal. The kit comes with everything you need to fully coat 2 midsize sedans. After all the prep work, your car will look gorgeous, then this coat can do its job to maintain that. This stuff is not meant to hide or correct imperfections, you have to put in the work to fix your paint. If you don’t fix any imperfections, they’ll be frozen in time under the ceramic. As directed, wash, fully dry, clay, machine polish (preferably DA), and then remove all the residue from the previous steps. The ceramic coat goes on smooth, comes off with a tactile drag and begins to buff out to a smooth glass-like surface. Took me the better part of a day from wash to complete coat. That’s the reason it costs so much to have ceramic applied by a pro.Take your time and apply the coating to a small area at a time. On a mid size sedan, I’d say a quarter to a third of the area of the hood at a time, or the top half of a door. Don’t get it on glass, trim, or tail lights; it won’t come off without a fight. Masking off those things is a good idea. Don’t try to do too much at once. This stuff flashes pretty quick in warm weather and is ready to be hand wiped no longer than 30 seconds. Get ahead of yourself, and you may miss application or wiping off of a spot. If it cures, it’s on there for good. The only way to correct it is to machine polish it off of the whole panel, remove all compound residue and reapply. If you’re not ready to do all this, stick with wax. Ceramic is not forgiving, but well worth it in longevity compared to true wax or polymer waxes.

Better off to leave for the pros
I bought this to protect my 2021 Wrangler. It’s black, so I was nervous about doing this.Overall, the product is probably fine. However, the application is more difficult than it seems. I strip washed, iron decontaminated, clayed and polished all before using this kit. I prepped the surface, applied in the shade in small sections at a time, and got streaky results. Under normal conditions, the coating looks good, but when I use the UV light, you can see a somewhat streaky application. It’s probably my inexperience, but I definitely followed all of the instructions and expected better. Also, different body panels accepted the coating differently. My fenders have a slight blueish tint to them now (I am guessing from the UV chemical) in certain direct sunlight conditions. You can see they look different at different angles from the attached pictures.I may use a polish to remove the coating. Like I said, the product itself is probably fine, but I’d leave the application to the pros.
